Ugh, we knew it was too good to be true!!!!
The dramz with Wacko Jacko's comeback has already started!
Ticketholders for the July 8th, 10th, 12th and 14th shows at the O2 arena were informed today, via e-mail, that the shows have been postponed!!
The July 8th date will take place only a few days later on July 13th.
But the others????
Postponed until March 2010!!!!
The e-mail blast read:
Dear Customer
This afternoon Michael Jackson producers will be announcing the rescheduling and change of the opening shows in order to meet the challenges presented by such a large and technically complex concert.
Please allow us to apologise. It was not an easy decision to change the schedule but in the end we wanted to ensure that all of Michael's fans attending the concerts get the same quality in staging and level of entertainment.
We are writing to let you know that the 10th July concert that you purchased tickets for at the O2 arena has now been rescheduled for 1st March 2010. The tickets you receive will be printed with the rescheduled date and you will have the same seat originally purchased. You do not have to do anything as you will be automatically allocated the same seats and moved to the revised date.
We understand the inconvenience this may have caused and for this reason we have secured some excellent hotel deals for Michael Jackson fans travelling to London on these rescheduled dates. but i have read from the start that the first few dates could be put back cause of the staging of the O2- some insiders on ticket websites had predicted it,and its also been mentioned in the last 24 hours that the london jubilee line on the underground that goes to the O2 arena was closing for repairs round the time of these opening nights,and that was predicted to cause mass mayhem as wel so thats probably another reason which i guess al makes sense enough…
and they are obv trying to change the scheduling as little as possible,so i gues thats why they decided to only move 2 or 3 dates back
anyway, lets be positive mj fans, lets look on the bright side-weve got him in london a little longer, and also more mj to look forward to next year!

No way!!!!!!!! Who could have thought? Yesterday I was watching part of the audition he organised in London in order to choose his dancers and it was unbelievably amazing. There were so many capable dancers that travelled from around the world just to be picked for the shows and have their moment next to Jacko. He must be a total jerk to put them AND ALL OF US down!!

I feel sorry for all the fans whose concerts have been postponed. Michael is a perfectionist and I'm not surprised that him and his people would postpone the first couple shows just to make sure everything is perfect. I for one am not effected by the postponement so I can't wait until my show and I have seen alot of sadness from people who had tickets for the first couple nights. Can't wait until my show date comes up! Also can't wait for American Idol tonight; Michael might be making an appearance! Woo hoo!!

And what's up w/ all the haters discussing these rescheduled concerts as if you have been effected?? If your going to another artist concerts, then that is all good; Go. Michael doesn't do anything half heartedly. I can understand if some fans are upset about their concerts being pushed back b/c they more then likely had to pull some strings to go in the first place, and on top of that they were very excited about the concerts being right around the corner. THE CONCERTS ARE STILL GOING TO HAPPEN. Michael Jackson is not the only artist who has rescheduled shows. Just because he rescheduled shows does not make him unprofessional; an unprofessional would do a concert series of this magnitude without putting all there time, effort, and energy into giving a perfect show. He didn't even want to release "Thriller" b/c he didn't think it was good enough, and "Thriller" is still the #1 record of all time. Don't be mad at Michael because the 02 arena and Producers couldn't handle a show of this magnitude…. Michael is not going to do a show if he feels that everything is not going to be on point for EVERY show. The statements released are stating that the first couple of shows would not be ready in regards to all of the things MJ has in mind for the show, and with that being said the fans in attendance for the first couple of shows would not get the same experience as all the other fans from the shows that follow. Some other artist might hire people to hook up some lights, pyro equipment, and a stage but Michael goes all out. It has to be perfect and he feels his shows wouldn't be perfect enough at the beginning of July. Michael and his dancers are ready but that's about the only things ready regarding these shows.
he just wanted the money as soon as possible to get out of financial problems and don't give a shit about doing the concerts. So glad I'm not going he won't even turn up for half of them anyway

but i feel silly now coz i remember round the time the tickets went on sale i went onto ticketmaster and looked at the dates- madonna and britney and a couple other shows and stuff are on, like , im talking 2 days b4 mj was due to start, and i remember thinking at the time "eek!thats pretty risky time to start mjs and how are they gona get his concert set up and a dress rehearsal in a 2 days space of time?!"

honestly il say it again- im not just defending mj- im stating the reality of the situation-the tour operators wouldnt have been able to insure the show-it cud have been dangerous to audience and performers-especially as there talking their gona feature aerial stunts and magic show effects-it dont take an expert to realize that sorta stuff takes more than justa day or two to set up/rehearse

Their are alot of factors that are contributing to the rescheduling of the shows (Michael's health not being one of them as many are stating). It is true that MJ has been rehearsing w/ his dancers in L.A., but every artist gets the chance to rehearse at the actual venue. I believe Madonna's first show is on July 4th if I'm not mistaken. She's going to have to have some rehearsals set up at the arena. I don't know how long her stay will be at the arena but Michael's first show was supposed to be only 4 days after her first show. For as big of a show as Michael's giving, I really can't see him and his dancers not being able to get the oppurtunity to get plenty of run throughs at the actual arena a couple times. The people running things at the 02 arena was so happy to get Michael on board, that they didn't really sit down and think about how much of a perfectionist he really is and how much time and dedication this whole event would need.
Re: RF – I'm going on what was to be the very last show last year; up until today's changes. So, so far I haven't been effected by the rescheduling, but if later down the road my show get's rescheduled then I'm not tripping. I've waited this long to see Michael perform and I can most definitely wait a little longer. I already bought my ticket, so that would just give me even more time to save up more money to spend in London.

Randy Phillips just said in the press conference that.. "bottom line we needed those 5 days in the arena" he is talking about the days that have already been booked by other artist. He also said that the original dates would have only given them 1 day before the show started to be at the 02.
Come on we all know that is a no, no when trying to put together a show; especially a Michael Jackson show. "Rome wasn't built in a day" Michael and his team are incredible but they can't create miracles.

Kenny and Randy have already spoken about the reschedule and why it is taking place (and the reason makes perfectly good sense to me) so I'm sure MJ will not be ellaborating on it. Just think though… If Michael came out to discuss every thing said about him he would be giving press conference's everyday. Really if he did that he would have already had to hold about 3 conference's this month alone. Though this is indeed something that is true, I highly doubt that you will be hearing anything from him.
