Least-watched Idol Finale Ever!
Despite generating lots of buzz - thanks to Adam Glambert - and introducing a new and useless 4th judge, this season of American Idol has been a big dud!
The show did beat out the other networks last night, but Tuesday's airing of the first competition part of AI's finale was the lowest-rates finale the show has ever had!!!!
Idol brought in "just" 23 million viewers last night.
Projections for tonight's Idol results show are higher, somewhere between 27 to 30 million views.

The numbers denote that people might think this is already in the bag for Lambert. Stiffer competition means higher numbers. They're both pretty good.

Adam SHOULD win the competition. Many bad mouth him for a performing background. Folks, that only HELPS when you have to get on stage for a concert. Madonna? Britney? U2? Etc.. They all put on a show with a lot of theatrics. That's what makes great entertainment and he has an amazing voice. If homophobe america kicks in against Adam that's the only reason why he'd lose and at any rate he will be great if he wins or not. Kris will disappear just like Taylor Hicks.

I think both guys are very talented. But im on team KRIS. I like Adam but i dont want him to win. Its not because he is gay or bi because i support gay marriage . I think Kris has the qualities an American i dol should have . i also think kris will have a more successful music career because he can play instruments. Adam has the "it" factor and is going to be a superstar. Kris is amazing, too, but totally different than Adam. I feel that if Kris wins, he will slowly fade away like Taylor, Ruben and other past Idol winners. Adam will not fade away–his star will only get brighter. My vote is on Adam!!

Should win = Adam. Will win = toss up. Adam's voice is amazing…(usually) excellent pitch, perfect vibrato, etc. Kris was terribly off pitch during his entire third song yesterday, but perhaps it's because the song SUCKED and it was too high. Kris is cute, and Adam may be too much for some people to handle…he's definitely a unique individual. Simon put it perfectly about Kris= he sounds like a typical guy jamming to his guitar and singing in his room. Nothing too remarkable about him.
Either way, fun finale.
I tell the kids, who would you be able to watch for 1 1/2 hours straight in a concert? Who would you want to be in the front row and get a high-five from. One is an "entertainer" not just singer in the likes (and maybe eccentricities) of Madonna, Michael, Britney…the other is a great singer and musician. Apples and oranges. Who would you sit through and 1 1/2 to watch?
Kris should win. he's more mainstream & marketable. he will benefit from Idol taking over his music. Adam will do better losing because he'll probably get more of a creative input into his music. i don't think he'd do well with Idol controlling his music. David Cook, anyone? he was amazing last year… but his music now is not that great. had Daughtry won, we probably wouldn't know his name. Adam sounded terrible singing that Kara song. it's not his style. that's what his music would be if he won Idol.

I totally hope that Adam wins! Then came MJ week and he blew me away with his version of Black or White, he was so entertaining and I cant take my eyes off him when he performs. I do believe that he will be ICONIC even if Kris wins. There are thousands and thousands of artists like Kris but Adam is totally original, and there is no one out there in the business like him and its definately time. And most of the time, quite frankly, he sounds like a drunk cat; that voice can't make 20 squealing songs on a CD, and expected to make millions and instant fame. The reason for the low ratings is that the two finalists are the wrong choices. Did you hear them sing in the finals? Just awful. No talent either one. The correct choices would have been Danny and Alison. Sadly, they would have made it if they were cuter.
