Ashlee Simpson must have given husband Pete Wentz a good talking-to, because the new dad took some time off from public peeing to take on daddy duties in New York.

Wifey was in town promowhoring Melrose Place, which she stars in and got picked up by The CW for the fall.

Hubby took take of little Bronx on Wednesday.

It's always nice to see the dads being hands-on!

I think its great that him and Ashley actually take care of their kid. Most celebs have 24 hour nannys…..

Pete's head looks huge! And he needs to get a new pair of pants… I know he says he has like 10 pairs of those but really every time he is photo'd he has those on!

why should ANY FATHER get any type of attention for taking care of their child??? ESPECIALLY when their wife is working and they are not???? what is so great about that? isn't that common courtesy, common sense? Helping your partner taking care of the child you created together? Now, if he could only clean up before his kid become emotional scarred by his father's sense of 'style'

Looks like they settled for a cheap-o stroller for the baby and the wheel has broken off and he is carrying it….better save some money, car seats can get heavy to carry around especially when your kid is already half your size Pete.

kathie, that is actually the orbit baby system, it cists about $900. hes carrying the base for the car seat.
