Jay-Z has officially split from his long-time label, Def Jam Records!
Jigga confirmed the news that he's left the record company which he's been so involved with for the past several years.
The rapper does say his time at Def Jam has been "a unique and fulfilling experience," but he won't disclose the real reason for the split.
Jay does, however, owe Def Jam one more record.
We smell a "Best Of" CD coming soon!

This is my 1st post and as a Jay-Z fan I just want to tell you that there is no more Jay Z music coming out of Def Jam. He paid $5 million for the rights to Blueprint 3 which will be released under his deal with LiveNation. Thanks for doing half the work asswipe!

I used to love JAY-Z, then he got all weird and started comparing every female and other rappers girl to his Beastoncye and it got really old. We don't all have weaves and moms that design our outfits or lil sisters that get preggers at 17 or dads to kick potential talent out of the group! But he's rapping about her Manolo's and our Steve Maddens. (Which is a touch homo-sesssssual but hey, whatta ya gonna do about it huh?)
Def Jam should ask for the money back they wasted on promos and salary!

this guy is the biggest sham in the biz along with his fake bleach cream using ho. they have fooled everyone in to thinking they are the best with out a credible body of work. I can tell they subscribe to the old saying "always tell people how smart you are because all the stupid people will believe you. at the end of the day there are more stupid people than smart people" he is ugly, not talented and the only thing he has is money based on the facade he puts out there. too bad madoff didnt get his money then he would really be in the gutter where he belongs.
