He's lucky to be pretty cause he sings like shit, he don't have anyvoice and his music is sooo bad.
In France everybody can be famous as long as they're a bit cute.
And, by the way choupe, his lyrics do sucks, it's typically french to forget everything about how bad someone is as long as he's pretty.

I would like to thank Perezhilton for giving the Americans the chance to discover new foreign talents and artists like Julien Dore (who is by the way a great one) but it is sad that such work of art is out of the reach of most people. An American ADULT living in France.

honestly, most of the negative comments are just WORTHLESS. how can you judge some artist's work by saying "this is shit"? i think that as long as an artist is writing is own songs, and when you hear his music, you notice that there has been loads of work and thinking involved, you can be mature and say that you dislike it, but just don't say "this is shit" because you absolutely are in no position to judge.
as for the video, julien dore is using second degree a lot, he likes to show off and go for old fashioned, cheesy appearances sometimes, and he is totally fine with it. it is part of his character.
i actually kind of like every aspect of him, his music, his character, and well, i won't lie, his body :p

I have lots of friends who are earning a living as musicians, and they all consider him as the top of the bucket when it comes to mainstream music (especially since he is coming from the french equivalent of american idol). I think he is quite popular.

and it is really a stereotype to say that us french people listen to crappy music if a singer is pretty; if you want to get into that kind of topic, well, there are people in america who listen to heidi montag's songs :p
