Winehouse vs Duffy

The theme song for the new 007 movie is up for grabs and the studios two choices for a performer are Amy Winehouse and Duffy.
The two females are said to be considered again, since they both were rumored to be providing the theme to Quantum of Solace. Only Winehouse had a real chance, but producer Mark Ronson claimed she "wasn't ready" to head into the studio.
Doesn't look like she will be ready this time around either, folks. Our money is on Duffy.

Amy Winehouse, hands down. Listen to Duffy's album and you'll hear 2 or 3 songs designed to be singles and the rest filler; listen to Amy Winehouse's and you'll hear nothing but quality music.

I think Amy Winehouse has the better voice of the two, but she's become so unpredictable and unreliable, I sincerely doubt any studio would choose her. Amy could use the boost to her career, and I hope she can get it together enough to record the 007 theme, but it seems unlikely. It's so sad, Amy has great vocal talent but can't overcome her demons enough to really use it

Enough of these short term or problem singers. They are both good, but this is BOND we are discussing here! Time to set a historic event and guarantee a hit song like the earlier Bond movies. We need someone sophisticated and VERY famous, like Streisand, Celine, Cher, or Whitney, to perform and create a hot/positive/sassy rendition. The result would create extreme publicity for the bond theme song and the movie. So what if they cost more to do it….Bond is worth it. Remember when they really splurged and got Carly Simon to do a Bond theme? That one went through the roof and became an instant classic. Come on people. Bond may be more mod now, but he is still James Bond. He deserves the absolute BEST! Is anyone up there LISTENING?

Duffy, definately! I like Amy's music, too, but–she's such a fuck-up–
It's a shame Amy's such a train wreck, because she's got a star scorcher of a voice and tremendous feel for music. However, we can't appreciate it if she never gets her @ss into a studio or onto a stage! We've all heard "Back to Black" enough now Ames, as much as we loved it. i think as soo as you think of the bond theme tune amy probably suits the whole thing a bit better like her voice was made for that whole kind of thing but, considering the circumstances i think duffy should get it and also thinking about it now i think duffy would suit that really well too. so yeah duffy.
