Dolla Murder Suspect Pleads Not Guilty

The prime suspect in the shooting and murder of rapper Dolla last week in Los Angeles has pleaded not guilty!
Dolla was shot at the valet stand of the Beverly Center shopping mall in LA last Monday and later died of his injuries at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.
Aubrey Berry claims "he shot Dolla out of fear for his own life after an altercation at an Atlanta nightclub a few weeks ago."
So Berry followed him all the way to Los Angeles to protect himself???
Something doesn't sound right here!
Berry remains jailed on $5 million bail after the LAPD caught the suspect trying to flee on a flight leaving from Los Angeles International Airport with a 9 mm gun in his waistband.

Re: JoJoStar – uhm, to claim self deffense, or to allege you were under the influence of some drug or alcohol, among other deffenses you can bring up to justify a crime. Get to know your laws, and your rights, i'm not kidding. We are better off as a society the more educated and informed our people are.

I suggest you people do your research before you start talking SH*IT! Dolla was NOT a ghetto gangsta like everyone thinks. He was a good kid who lived a tough life. He only desired to be in the entertainment business. His whole "THUG" persona was an "act". Just because you are a rapper doesn't mean your a thug who goes around and shoots everybody. And even if he was a thug, no body deserves to go out that way. He was just a normal kid with a dream who's life was tragically cut short. R.I.P Dolla. You will be forever missed:(

Ok so this is the scoop I got about this incident. Berry got jumped by Dolla 7 his crew in Atlanta at a strip club, the cops were called it was broke up. Berry actually has a license to carry the gun and is a college graduate. He is not a thug or is not known to get into trouble.
Berry was in Los Angeles on business & was at PF Changs for a meeting. When the meeting was done he went to retrieve his car at valet when he spotted by Dolla & his crew. Once again Berry was by himself & tried to leave but his car was not coming fast enough. Dolla started getting in his face & said he was going to kill him as his crew got closer. Berry fearing for his life shot Dolla and speed away.
Now everyone please keep in mind there is always two sides to a story. So if he did kill him in cold blood then he should rott in jail. But damn if he was being threatend & was badly beaten before, I don't know what I would do it that situation.

Don't get me wrong I am not going to sit here and say that Dolla was not having a problem with this guy. I am tired of people keep saying that Mr Berry had a degree and goes to church and never been in trouble. Than doesn't mean anything today. I feel like if he was so much into church what was he doing at a strip club. Than having a degree doesn't make you a good person, for an example check out the story about the guy who was attacking woman meeting them online. He end up killing one girl in a hotel. By the way he was in college never been in trouble and had a girlfriend. Sometimes people just don't get caught up. Than the news is saying Dolla got shot in the back how is that self defense. One eye witness said right before the shooting dolla was walking with a young lady and two guys and than the shooting just started. I feel like the truth will come out in court. I feel like Mr Berry should have walk out PF right when he seen Dolla and his people. I know if someone just jump me less than two weeks ago I am not going to be somewhere I know drama is going to be.

Diamond22 I don't disagree with you at all. I just felt is was important to know that there is always more to the story. Even if Dolla got shot in the back we don't know if that was because Berry was already in a tussle with Dolla's boys when the gun went off.
I just can't see this guy traveling all the way to LA to shot someone in broad daylight. I don't think it was planned but it was tragic non the less for all involved because regardless it's all senseless.
And we don't know the eyewitnesses perspective. So much can me seen from different angles. That's why it's important to have a just investigation to make sure that the sentencing fits the crime. Because if he planned it the sentencing should be more severe than if it happened on the spot due to a lack of better judgement in stressed situation.
What puzzle me is that Mr Burton and Mr Berry took the same flight that day. Then both were at the same mall and ate the same restaunt. Mr Berry lawyer said he's never had a case like this before. What I do know is that If is true and Dolla did jump in less than two weeks ago If I spotted Dolla and his crew at PF I would have left. I just can't see how Dolla would do all of this in broad day light in the beverly hill center at that. I would think the young man had more sense than that to act a fool there of all places. Do you think that Dolla would have done something to Mr Berry in broad daylight and knowing eye witness is around? He made not have been no Jay-Z but if Ijust took a flight to start making my record I would not want to mess that up. What do you think?

If Dolla did start the fight let's be real, we have all seen how young boys when they are with their friends try to show out. I'm sure if he did go after Berry he didn't think it would lead to anyone getting shot. I have seen countless young men with so much to lose do stupid things when they are with their friends. . This is a "crazy" story about them being on the same flight an all. Believe it or not it has happened to me before. I have been in the same city with someone at the same spot then on a plane from LA to Atlanta with that person then two days later we are at another event in South Carolina when we finally meet. But I would think that if he went there to kill Dolla he would have had a better escape plan & would have got rid of the gun right away. But I don't think Berry was in his right mind cuz it probably happened so fast. He is probably very informed about the law since he has a license to carry the gun. But what I do want to know is why he feels he needs to carry a gun? Is it part of his profession? These are the questions that I would want to know as a prosecuter.If you know the area you know that PF Changs is about 50 feet away from the valet, which is also valet for CPK, Grand Lux and countless other spots right there. Berry could have been waiting for his car with his back turned & they could have have been coming from Grand Lux or down the escalators & saw him first. Who knows? I don't.
All you racist motherf*****s needs to go to hell. And NO not ALL these 'ghetto' people needs to get shot. To all you folks who have it good out there, you can put your noses as far up in the air as you want. Think about this… I know plenty of people who want to get up out the 'ghetto' but imagine being born into a poor family (not your fault), and you dont wanna live the way 'gangsters' are living but you dont have enough money to get out (thats not your fault neither), but you keep telling yourself that once you get enough money your gonna take your family up out the hood…next day you get shot down because of someone else's altercations. i will not sit here and let you b*****s talk about my race and culture like that. Re: Camydragon – Your points are very valid, but I have to disagree with you on this one. This unfortunate event, in my opinion, was premeditated. Aubrey and Dolla obviously got in an altercation one to two weeks prior to this incident. Whether or not Dolla's crew jumped Aubrey or it was a one on one fight, aubrey ego was bruised and he wanted revenge. He some how knew that Dolla was coming out to LA and followed him from LAX to the Beverly Center. I mean lets think about this…There are numerous shopping malls around the area…. The Grove, Century City Mall, Sherman Oaks Plaza, The Americana, West side Pavilion, in fact their is a mall right next to the airport. How do the both end up at The Beverly Center? Lets be honest…someone was following someone. Los Angeles is waaaayyyyyy too big to just happen to run into some one that easily. It could happen….but its not likely. And why would you walk around Beverly Hills with a gun strapped to your waist??? If I am correct he had a license to carry a gun in Atlanta NOT Los Angeles. And If he shot Dolla out of self-defense, why was he shot in the back. Obviously his back was turned away from Aubrey in order for him to be shot from that angle. Call me crazy but if I shot anyone out of self defense, as a moral civilian with a conscience my first stop would be the police station to report the situation not the airport to flee the state.

Ovaness I agree, if I did not do anything wrong and I had a gun permit I would report to the nearest police station. Also the news is saying that Dolla did not have a gun on him. I am little older but the way we grew up was we fight with our fist and not with a gun. I think these young boys out here are cowards.
