Publicly closeted homosexual, Adam Lambert, and American Idol winner Kris Allen were snapped grabbing a bite together with friends at Poquito Mas on Friday afternoon in Los Angeles after appearing on Larry King Live.
Glambert hammed it up for the awaiting paps while Allen remained modest by hanging out in the background.

Anybody can just look at pics of him and tell he's gay…not that it's anyone's business. Maybe he didn't want to advertise the fact for professional reasons. First, Kris and Adam are really good friends. I don't know how many of you saw the Homecoming Week, when Kris had his thumbnail painted dark blue and Adam had left his thumbnail unpainted, but I found it quite adorable. They'll help each other out. they got close while they were filming (they were roommates) and will continue to stay close. Second, Adam doesn't owe it to anyone to come out. He's got a boyfriend and a family that is obviously very supportive and that's enough. Lastly, THANK YOU perez for adopting my new favorite celebrity, and keep the Adam news coming. I personally wonder if the Idol people aren't asking him to keep the wraps on his sexuality the same way Jim Verraros claims they did him. I agree that Adam doesn't really need to say it; the evidence is pretty strong, lol. But should he? As a gay man I'm conflicted. On the one hand, I agree with Perez that visibility is key, and that if gay celebrities don't come out, things won't change in Hollywood OR in middle America. But on the other hand, coming out is a very personal decision, and I don't want to take that away from anybody. (Except closeted politicians who vote against gay rights, because I cannot stand hypocrites.) I believe in being true to oneself, but I also believe that people have a say in how much they reveal about themselves.
That being said, Perez reports on straight celebrities secret love affairs and personal lives all the time and you all eat that shit up. Perez says he's looking for equality, and that includes equality of exposure. I'm of the same opinion: we gay folks shouldn't get special treatment because we're closeted or because we're gay. We should get EQUAL treatment in everything from marriage to gossip. Equality brings about both the good and the bad.
(Now, if you want to have a conversation about whether Perez Hilton provides a service or detriment to society by feeding its obsession with celebrity and private lives of the famous, that's another story.)
