Annie Leibovitz, Bankrupt???
Famed celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz may be forced to file for involuntary bankruptcy in the near future!
Annie is reportedly swimming in debt!
Leibovitz has been sued left and right by former employers in the past year; lighting company B2Pro Lighting sued the photographer for $392,036 she owed them in rental and damage fees as well as Art Department Creative Services suing Leibovitz for $400,000 for their unpaid services during a shoot for Disney.
Although a judge dismissed part of the suit from B2Pro, the lighting experts have yet to receive the $189,170 they were promised.
If her lawyers don't act fast, the company plans to file an involuntary bankruptcy petition against Leibovitz.
Annie reportedly makes $2 million/year from Vanity Fair alone, not counting her freelance work with some major players in the industry.
She needs a better business manager ASAP!

Perez - you of all people should know the story on this! The reason she's so broke is not because of bad business dealings but rather the enormous amount of inheritance taxes she had to pay on the estate of her longtime partner, Susan Sontag. Had they been able to legally marry, this would not have been an issue. A perfect example of discrimination by law and for money!

I can't believe you don't know the whole story on this! She is swimming in debt now due to the huge inheritance taxes she was hit with after the death of her partner, Susan Sontag. Sontag owned several properties (in name) that the couple shared, and when she died Annie was forced to pay $$$$ in taxes- something that wouldn't happen had the pair been legally allowed to marry. I know nothing about these current money woes, but the sinkhole she is currently in is due to inheritance taxes to keep her late partner's property.
After what happened today with prop 8, I would think you would highlight the very real consequences of not being allowed to marry.

Indeed, when Susan Sontag died and left her lover some of her property, NY state came after Leibovitz for taxes–taxes that a legal spouse would not be held liable for. Sontag was called the smartest girl in the world, but, alas, she and Annie didn't get proper legal counsel.
Leibovitz may become the face of discrimination against gays for the state of NY.
