White Stripes drummer, Meg White married guitarist Jackson Smith, son of icons Patti and Fred Smith, in front of a small group of friends and family in Nashville this past weekend.
It was part of a double wedding held in the backyard of bandmate and ex-husband, Jack White, who lives in old Southern home about five miles out of Nashville.
The other couple who wed?
Racontuers and Dead Weather bass player, Jack Lawrence married his girlfriend, Jo McCaughney.
We bet the reception was amazing!!

It wasn't in a backyard it was at the historic Ryman Auditorium I was there. As for Jack Lawrence, the bigger story is what happened with his ex girl friend. She supported him financially for years and he had her locked out of their home and kicked her to the curb. She is now suing him to recover loans she had made to him and to try to get the home back. I saw Meg White, Karen Elson and a group of about 8 other women at dinner last week in Nashville, two days before her wedding. It just looked like a normal girl's night out, but obviously it was a pre-wedding thing. Congratulations Meg!
I hope you guys are kidding abou them being brother & sister- you know that that was just a publicity joke. Meg grew up a few blocks from me and Jack is from SW Detroit. I think it is awesome that Meg & Jack still are close.

Meg and Jack were never married. They are half siblings. They both have the same mother and different fathers. I know this because I worked for a concert promoter. In the office, we were assigned the task of preparing their paperwork for visas for overseas travel. Their parents were listed on the forms.
