New "Music" From Scarlett Johansson!

Recorded in 2006, before Scarlett Johnansson's tragic Anywhere I Lay My Head, ScarJo recoded a duets album with Pete Yorn called Break Up.

According to Yorn, "I was having a strange week of insomnia and when I finally passed out, it came to me in a dream. I woke up and the whole thing was in my head, fully formed." Intrigued, ScarJo agreed to the project which Yorn had been fiercely protective of until now.

Break Up will be released in June, but here's one of the tracks off of it called Relator.

No amount of reverb can disguise ScarJo's headache-inducing vocals.

We love her, BUT…….

Just give it up girl, or sing in a different style!

      I love her voice, it's super unique and different. I think voices like that come across us all very rarely, and when it does it's a good thing.

      She's not bad, she actually has a nice timbre and I agree with people who say her voice is unique. I am not saying she's a great singer, but she has potential and I don't think you should dismiss her vocal ability.

      She is still a hell of a lot better than some of the singer-wannabe's that have released songs and CD's and have actually made our ears bleed.

      I have to concur with the rest of the people here…I actually like it. I kind of feel like no one is listening to it because the previous stuff was such total crap, because no one is I listened because I wanted to hate it, but it turned out not to be that bad. Sigh. [hangs head in shame.]

      I actually like this one! Her voice sounds old school, like the singers before the screamers(Mariah, Christina) and electro-pop queens (Madonna, Lady GaGa) came out. I like it all, but definitely digging this right now. It's a nice summer song. :)
