Mike Tyson's 4-year-old daughter, Exodus Tyson, was pronounced dead on Tuesday.

The child was discovered on Monday at her Phoenix, Arizona, home hanging from a treadmill by its power cable.

The horrible incident is being treated as an accident.

So sad.

      This is so sad. I have two children myself (3 year old & 4 month old), this just makes me want to hold onto my children and never let go. Hearing any story about a child dying is very hard. R.I.P Little Angel

      Thank God for sharing with us the presence of one of your angels. We are the better for having had her in our lives, even if it was only four years. Her work here was done and it was time for her to go home.

      Anyone who blames the parent is a fucking idiot. It's not possible to have your eye on a child every second of every day. Parents leave their kids in a room alone all the time, it just happens that in this instance it ended in the poor child dying. This makes me feel sick, my brother is almost four and I can't imagine how her mother must feel.

      This is so sad it brings me to tears. I have a 4 year old daughter and I'm not trying to knock anyone's parenting skills but this was SOOOOOOO preventable. Can you imagine finding your babygirl HANGING???? Please parents, please please please watch your children like hawks. A 4 year old should NOT be alone long enough to harm them self this seriously.       The original report of the accident said that her 7 yr old brother was in the room with her and when he saw what happened he got his mother. It just goes to show how these things can happen even when someone else is right in the room. Even though Mike Tyson is a bizarre man no one deserves to lose their child, so my heart goes out to him and the child's mother. This is a tragedy from which they will never fully recover.

      Re: rodz – and BTW, regardless of what perez has written, it was not the power cord, it was the emergency stop cord. if you had actually been to a gym 2 days ago like you claimed, you would know that there is in fact a cord hanging from the top of the treadmill.

      my mom told me that an old friend of hers had a daughter who suffocated to death because a shower cap slid over her face while she was unattended for a little while. she said they sued the makers of the shower cap and were able to buy a nice house.. but of course it never came close to making up for their loss. maybe the tysons will sue someone too. i hope so.

      Wow. I can't even imagine what they are going through, this rips my heart out and I am not even them. I have a 3 1/2 yr old, I would have to be committed - seriously. Things like this happen and to me its almost proof there is no 'God' that loves us more than we love our children, bc he lets ppl suffer like this. What kind of lovingly father would let this happen? It makes me sad when my baby cries just bc he fell and bumped his knee. And dont give that 'oh it happens for a reason' bc what good can come from this?
      All the good that may, can never fill all the pain they are going through. All of that excruciating unbearable pain. Man this sucks. I hope they get through this some how and one day I hope they can smile again and come to some sort of peace w this, even if they use a 'God' that doesnt exsist. Hell if it helps to ease the pain, then so be it.
