Mike Tyson's 4-year-old daughter, Exodus Tyson, was pronounced dead on Tuesday.

The child was discovered on Monday at her Phoenix, Arizona, home hanging from a treadmill by its power cable.

The horrible incident is being treated as an accident.

So sad.

      Re: Mimi the Magnificent – well, considering you're a lost soul and are also raising your child as such, i hope you at least know that there can be no good without evil, nor black without white, up without down, in without out. how would we know joy if there was no sadness? it's called balance honey. shit happens. and if you think that your child crying is because there is no god or that he's an evil god who brought pain upon your child, then you really have some serious issues. kids cry because they are kids, they play and the get hurt, it's what they do. hell, i'm 28 i cried when i sliced the back of my leg open and had to have 24 stitches inside and out. but did i blame god for it? no, it was my fault because i left a broken bowl in the trash bag. it wasn't god's doing. do you think god swooped down and hung that poor baby from the cord? no, he did not. he did not let this happen, it just happened. and i'm pretty positive that you do believe things happen for a reason, but only the good things…right??? well, it doesn't work that way. things do happen for a reason…..good AND bad. ever heard of the amber alert? it was put into place when a little girl named amber was abducted and murdered. now because of this alert 1000's of children have been safely found and returned home. this is a perfect example of something wonderful that stemmed from something tragic. because of amber, other children are alive. so you see, things do happen for a reason.

      I just read an interview with Mike Tyson the other day and how he feels bad about a lot of his actions in his past and wants to be a better person. And then this happens, that's too sad for words. No parent should ever have to bury their child. :(

      god bless and somehow bring you peace. i am so sad and sorry to hear of the loss of your baby girl. my mom passed away a few weeks ago, which is not the same, but i asked mom tonight, in my quietest thoughts, to help bring you comfort, and to hug your little girl and bless you bless you bless you. i'm not religious, i just hurt for you. i wish you peace, as best as you can find it.

      It seems many of those posting that you can watch your kids 100% of the time don't actually HAVE kids. We all wish we could watch our kids 24/7 but the reality is we can't. ANY person who claims to watch their kid 24/7 is FOS. Parents HAVE to multi task. You can't just sit around all day looking at your child. Most (if not all parents) have households to run that require attention. many have more than one child. Accidents happen and we try our best to NOT let them but we can't be everywhere at once. No one knows why the 4 year old was in there with her older brother/sister. Mom could have gone to the restroom or been washing clothes or been cooking dinner or any other number of things which require attention. It's easy to sit back and judge people. I'm sorry I don't buy that none of you have EVER left your child in a room to play so you could run to the restroom, answer the phone, answer the door,start dinner or just have a quiet moment. No one is perfect and pretending you are on the internet wont save a child's life.

      It's very sad, but really why would you let your toddler wander around your home-gym (I assume that's where the treadmill was). It's fine to leave a child unsupervised if they are in their nursery or something, but seriously, around exercise equipment? I'm always afraid I'M going to somehow manage to crush or cut off something on those machines - a child definitely shouldn't be left near one.

      My inner superstition also tells me that perhaps they shouldn't have named their child after that book in the Bible, it's the one with the plagues in Egypt, and the killing of first-born children/loads of Egyptians - I wouldn't say those are particularly pleasant thigns to name your child for.
