Kanye Hates Reading Books
This is a bit confusing. In a recent interview, Kanye West reveals that he doesn't like to read.
He says, "I am not a fan of books. I would never want a book's autograph. I am a proud non-reader of books. I like to get information from doing stuff like actually talking to people and living real life."
But the musical genius goes on to tell people that he's just written a book! And to buy it!!!
Just cuz Kanye doesn't like to read doesn't mean you $houldn't, right?
West is now the recent co-author of Thank You And You're Welcome. Though don't expect a long read. The book features only 52 pages, some of them blank and others just have a few words on them. He reveals that "This is a collection of thoughts and theories."
So, what can you expect to find in his book? Plenty of what he calls "Kanye-isms" which reveal his "optimistic philosophy" on life, such as "Life is 5% what happens and 95% how you react!" With another page that reads, "I hate the word hate!"
Adding, "My favorite one is 'Get used to being used.' I feel like to misuse, overuse or abuse someone is negative. To use is necessary and if you can't be used, then you are useless."
And Kanye wants to keep it short and to the point. He says, "Sometimes people write novels and they just be so wordy and so self-absorbed."
Kanye, self-absorbed? Never!
Though in a nice and very loving gesture, Kanye dedicates the book to his late mother, Dr. Donda West. He says, "My mom taught me to believe in my flyness [confidence] and conquer my shyness. She raised me to be the voice to allow people to think for themselves, to find their own way."
