Kate Gosselin's siblings are having a field day in the media. Both her sister-in-laws have come out swinging against her and now, Jodi Kreider and her husband, and Kate's younger brother, Kevin, talked on The Early Show this morning about the show and the children.
Watch as the couple discuss wanting to be the voice of the Gosselin children, insist that the children's home shouldn't also be their "workplace", and call out America to see the show for what it is!

I just saw the video and am fucken pissed at them for going on tv and playing judge. Who the fuck do they think they are? I can't even imagine how Kate would feel and I'm not even family. Obviously these people are only out doing these shows for personal gain. Why are they adding fuel to the fire? From what I've seen, those kids seem like happy, normal children. Jon and Kate are having a hard enough time, just leave them alone! If this was my family, I would never talk to them again. Going out and airing personal details on national television about the Gosselins is quite possibly the WORST thing they could have done. They should be ashamed.

If I had 8 kids I would be a control freak and I would do a tlc show so I could give my kids a big yard and nice vacations. I like how she keeps pointing out that there are negative consequences in regards to the children, but never really gives examples. They also pointed out that the kids will be upset to find out all of their outings were for ratings, but if they didn't do the show, they wouldn't of been able to go at all! I say as long as the kids have food, shelter, clothing, and are not being beaten… leave them alone!!! Think about all the other kids in the world and how terrible their lives are!

How much of an impact has this already had on their children?
The fear that they might have, the nightmares they might be having, already having the stress put on them, expectations.
Who are the stangers they let in their house to video tape the children? What if someone comes in and physically, mentally abuses them, they are not properly protected. How many of them will grow up to say, i was abused sexually by this camera guy, i was mentally degraded by the manager.
Jon says there are papparazi's out in front of his house when he wakes up, what if some creepo pretends to be a papparazi and entrusts the children to come for a shoot. There are so many possibilities, and that's sad that no one see's that side.

This seems a bit hypocritical to me. Jodi and Kevin were on more than a few times, and it seems interesting that they would take issue with the show NOW that all the hysteria surrounds it. I think their interest is less about the children and more about making money off of the drama that has erupted. If their issue is really with child exploitation on reality television shows then they would be going after more than Jon and Kate Plus 8. There are numerous family based reality shows on TLC, including even "a baby story". So why arent any of those mentioned? I feel sad for Jon and Kate that they have family who would sell them out and go to the media with their issue instead of keeping it within the family, or taking action with the network. Its sad to see Jodi and Kevin exploiting their own brother and sister in law. Kids should not grow up having every second of their lives filmed for everyone's entertainment. I could not live like that! What if it was you? All your embarrassing moments,times when you were feeling down,or throwing a "fit" was on tape for everyone to see? the sextuplets are 5, they've been on tv for what they know they're whole lives, and unfortunately as most reality shows do, it is tearing their family apart. to say these kids are exploited is a bit far fetched however. This blessed children have now the means and opportunities to do much with their lives, if their parents can get it together to bring them back down to earth. i agree with the comments above that there are 1000s of children who could only dream of being so fortunate. I may be their time to end, but this family needed a miracel such as this show so that they did not have to struggle as they would have otherwise had to.

I've watched this show pretty much since it first aired (litters of children fascinate me, what can I say)- I'm not seeing exploited children here. The kids appear very well adjusted, they seem genuinely fond of the production crew, and it appears that boundaries are set and respected. What appears to have happened is Kate's career took off, she has apparently been spending so much time touring and lecturing (on what- organic peanut butter?), that her lonely man found things to do. Big mistake on both their parts, haven't they heard of video conferencing- I'm sure America would understand Kate not being able to make personal appearances to hawk a book due to the demands of raising 8 children, and probably would respect her more had she made that decision. It seems that the tabloid press is doing a fairly good job of leaving the children alone, which they should, however Jon and Kate have made themselves fair game with their foolish behavior. If they want to save their marriage and their family- shut down the tours, shut down the show, go back to church, and work on the relationship. As far as the disgruntled family members crawling out for their 15 minutes- let 'em rant, they'll go away soon enough.

Nice hitting them while they are down. While they may be right, this is not the place or the time. While both John and Kate have their issues, they also BOTH seem like good people. However, John does not feel validated and is depressed. Kate feels like she is doing it all by herself and becomes a contol freak. How often does this happen in a relationship?? They should use this crisis as an opportunity to look within themselves and deal with their own personal issues. As soon as they sort themselves out (or perhaps before), they should get off the reality show and not be blinded by the money. I hear both are in many senses unemployed.
