"I believe one day CA will recognize gay marriage but I will uphold decision. Made right choice allowing 18K marriages before vote to stand."
That's more than Obama has said!

With the economy the way it is right now, it's to be expected that he's busy fixing the mess that the peoples choice of the last eight years, President Bush, made while in office. The economy isn't going to change overnight, and neither are these marriage issues. It was already decided that each state would determine whether or not Proposition 8 would become law. If you don't like the laws in a particular state, then why don't you move?
If you think about it, all California is good for is Hollywood. No one cares about the rest of California, only Los Angeles, and their precious movie stars.

Re: GBean – Prop 8 was limited to California's 2008 referendum. Other states may and will raise the gay civil marriage issue but when you state "It was already decided that each state would determine whether or not Proposition 8 would become law" you are factually inaccurate.

If you watched the vice presidential debates you would have seen that Joe Biden's answer when asked his stance on gay marriage was that he and Obama are both against it. Sarah Palin and John McCain were against it to and thats why I voted Libertarian. Next time watch the debates and become more informed. If this is an important matter to you as it is to me you should have watched the debates and done your homework before you so strongly endorsed someone with such different ideologies than yourself.
Oh and to people saying we cant or shouldn't question our president move to Cuba this is a free country where we are allowed to speak our minds and question our leadership. FYI the president is supposed to be working FOR US!

I would think that Obama's agenda is pretty full with more life threatening things than making a statement about whats going on with gay marriage in CA. Theres wars going on, a genocide in Darfur, puppy mills, healthcare that is swiftly becoming one of the worste for long-term healthcare in the world……

I understand that this is an important issue to you. I just think its the wrong time to focus on this when people are losing their homes and jobs and can't get insurance because of pre-existing health conditions….
