Thank you to everyone that came to the Prop 8 rally in West Hollywood yesterday, including Emmy Rossum, Shanna Moakler, Kathy Griffin, Pete Wentz, Mark Hoppus, Kelly Osbourne, Luke Worrall, Lisa from The Veronicas, Adam Shankman, Eliza Dushku, Jai Rodriguez, Deborah Gibson, Drew Barrymore and Sophia Bush.
Thank you to everyone who lent their voice and time.
Thank you to everyone who believes that we are all the same and that America was founded on the principle that we all deserve equal rights and protections under the law.
Thank you to those who are trying to keep gays and lesbians as second-class citizens, for you are only making us stronger and more passionate in our struggle to stand up, be heard, be counted and be equal.
We must all be vocal.
Too many hate-filled groups came in to California last fall and filled the airwaves with lies.
We must share our stories!

As an older gay man, 31, I have faced discrimination my whole life. I have been fortunate enough to find a career that demands more respect than my sexual and heartfilled preference.
Maybe if we as Gay men and women showed a little more decorum others wouldn't think of us as flaming.
There is nothing wrong with being who we are, but when some "breeders" think of us they think of the party boy in tight white clothing, neon hair and sucking on a lollipop.

Why don't you protest in the neighborhoods that actually voted for Prop 8? You're making the same mistake you did last time. You are preaching to the choir when you hold rallies on the Westside, in WeHo, Silver Lake and Downtown. We all voted AGAINST Prop 8. Go to Koreatown, Gateway, East L.A., Crenshaw, Watts, Compton…THESE are the places where people voted to take away your rights. THEY are the ones who should hear your message.

Obama is out to change that…once he's done, the Supreme Court will be the ruling branch in establishing policy and law…ask Sotormayor…she admits that's exactly what she'll do…INTERPRET LAWS? Phooey…that was the way the framers of the Constitution established the Judicial Branch to do….she says that's old fashioned and needs to be put to bed…voters no longer need to worry about their voices being heard…Supreme Court will make the laws if Obama has his say..and he does.

I spent most of yesterday crying, in shock that this has happened. I suppose I am naive, I really thought Prop 8 would be over turned and we would all move that much closer to goodness and acceptance. I know it will happen eventually, I just hate the thought of one more child killing themselves because they're treated like they're different, evil or wrong. It is NOT wrong to be gay.
