Some parents offer bribes for their kids to do well in school or clean the house.
The Palins use them as a means to get rid of the dead-beat babydaddy hanging around their family!
According to a new interview with Levi Johnston, father of the out-of-wedlock grandchild of Sarah Palin, Bristol Palin was offered a car by her father Todd if she agreed to dump Levi.
Obviously, she didn't take it and instead got stuck with the loser and a baby all before she even graduated high school.
Bet Bristol wishes that she took him up on that offer now!

It's good to see she wanted to care for her baby and not give it away. It's not like the family can't afford to support her and the child.
NEWSFLASH…there is no such thing as the perfect family. She made a mistake. Just because her mom is a politician doesn't immune her from mistakes. She is at least taking responsibility for what she has done rather than running away from it. I can't imagine what it's like to be that poor girl and having to constantly be ridiculed for a mistake she made. Talk about a constant reminder.
I had a lot more respect for her before she became a brain-washed hypocrite and started promoting abstinence. If you're old enough to have a baby, you should be old enough to hold on to your opinions and not let your mom pressure you to change them.

A RATIONAL human being knows (whether they want to believe it or not) that teenagers have sex, thats the way it is and has been for a while now between kids growing up faster and faster, the breakdown of the family unit, and teenage hormones. She was probably torn from what her political mother needed her to say and what she really believed to be true. It happens with both Republican and Democratic politician's children. I don't think an 18 year old really knows what political party they belong too. Give her a break seriously. Or have you forgotten what it's like to be a teenager?
I don't like Sarah Palin as a politician (Don't know her as a person, won't judge her as such). But you know, my grandfather offered my mother the same deal (and then some) not to marry my dad. She did anyway.

For example, Sarah Palin tried to use her position to get her sister's ex-husband fired. She went way over the top on her campaign wardrobe, spending $ like she won the lottery. She said some really divisive, mean things when she was campaigning. I started resenting her when she implied that only people from small towns are real people in this country. I am from NYC! Wasilla wasn't bombed on 9/11. Anyway, I think she is just a horrible person. Obama has nothing to do with it.

My family is extremely tight knit and though I don't always agree with what my parents believe, I'm still young! I'm only 23 so I have trouble still standing up for what I believe it when it comes to certain issues. I can't imagine how it would feel to have a mother who is a conservative political figure and she is a teenager in this generation. All they do is have pre-marital sex, underage drink, dabble with drugs, they have absolutely no view on consequences!
While I do agree with you 110% that abstaining is not realistic it comes down to this: do you say that sex is okay and take that chance that it might persuade more teens to do it? or do you stay with the traditional "wait until marriage" campaign hoping you'll reach some teens.
