Twentieth Century Fox and Lakeshore Entertainment are remaking the 1985 teen comedy classic Girls Just Want to Have Fun.

The film, which starred Helen Hunt, Sarah Jessica Parker and Shannen Doherty, followed teen girls who share a love of dancing and the hit show Dance TV.

If we can have a new title song as good as Cyndi Lauper's, we're in!

For some reason, we envision Demi Lovato to star!

      I wanted to Ms Dance TV for years, but I knew that would never happen because the movie had already been made!
      Please don't ruin this movie for the kids (0-18)! Watch the original. There is nothing like Jonathon Silver hitting on Monet Face! Or watching Helen Hunt sneak SJP outta the house!!

      I LOVED that movie, watched it a zillion times. The lead guy, I think his name was Lee, he was one of my first crushes :)

      FUN FACT: The movie studio wanted Cyndi Lauper to play the role that Helen Hunt played.
      FUN FACT #2: 10 years later Cyndi won an Emmy award for her guest appearance on Helen's TV show Mad About You.

      that so stupid are they going to keep the same title….or are they stealing a title from a more current hit song…….back in those days they actually had dance shows with real teenagers…we had one here in the bay area and once a week a different high school was invited to go and tape the show…we would watch every week to see what local high school was on….but kids today don't know anything about that…maybe they can steal "I kissed a girl" since most teenagers today THINK that's a cutting edge thing to do…lame
