JoBro Show Blows Into Sunday

The Jonas Brothers' new TV show, Jonas, is not fairing as well as anyone had wished. The Disney Channel had hoped that the trio of brothers, Kevin, Nick, and Joe, could hold thier own against the tough competition over at Nickelodeon on Saturday night.
They were wrong.
So, the show has just been moved to Sunday nights for the summer months, hoping to catch the attention of little tweens everywhere on their new night.
Perhaps JoBro fever is dying down?

i like their music, but their show is awful.
"created" acts usually don't have a very long shelf life. That these guys got a second and potentially even third 15 minutes of fame is tribute to the power of the mouse house, not really any proof of talent.

the show is cute and it is doing as well as any other show on disney pulling in 4 million viewers like hannah montana,wizards,& sonny.nickelodean has icarly which is more popular than all of the disney shows.their tour is sold out & their single is doing well.i don't think they are "fading" but i wouldn't mind it if they were.teenies are fucking annoying.

Actually I don't think it is dying down at all. They just got back from South America and are getting ready for their tour in the US. A lot of tickets sold. They have held their own against the Nickelodeon Saturday shows winning the timeslot outright or getting virtually the same numbers except against an iCarly special. They got the same numbers as Hannah when they were on Sunday night. Disney typically changes programming in the summer to movies on Saturday nights as the press release noted. Yes the numbers watching aren't tweens because that really isn't the JB target audience no matter what some people think. The show is better than other Disney shows although they are musicians first. They were not created by Disney, helped out yes, but they existed before Disney and will be around for a long time. Their new album sounds amazing from the preview! Too bad the gossip sites and the media always love to zero in and make things look negative. Why don't you report on the positive?

Thats smart… SOOO many fans said they didnt watch it because it was during iCarly and they were already into that show so they didnt wanna miss it for a brand new show that people put up on youtube anyway. their best rated episode was the special one they played like last sunday or the sunday before! Disney has Fridays and Sundays, Nick has Saturdays! But their main thing will always be music. I mean all their shows for the upcoming tour are sold out, and over a million have already pre-ordered their CD so obviously they are always gonna do better in music than tv and movies! I dont mind the show or the movies, but their music is SOOOO much better. especially the song they did with Common for the new album that they previewed last night on the webcast 'Dont Charge Me For The Crime'

I am an older, so I don't watch Disney or Nickelodean usually, but I have tuned in to JONAS all four episodes so far…. and it is REALLY FUNNY. They are adorable and the show is hilarious. I find it quirky, charming, and off the wall, so I'm definitely going to tune in on Sunday too. They don't get enough credit for their hard work, and the fact that they have really great senses of humor.
You haters who have never seen the show are talking out of your asses, and it's very unbecoming.

Noo, haha they're not dying down. Just now, all the little 5 year old fans have givin up and moved onto the next Disney thaang. The Jonas Brothers still have a large fan support. It's just that show was targeted for kids under 10 and most of the actual fans are far above that, that I know of. :] I am personally a fan, and have met many true fans between the ages of 12-23.
I LOVED them for the last two years… but then Disney decided to turn them into their latest cash cow. I am SO sick of them and Demi Lovato… Disney exploited them like no other and stripped them of their talent. Have you heard the previews of their new songs? They sound like JOKES. fucking awful.

Miley's down point was last year, JB's is more this year.

The show sucks - that's why it's tanking in the ratings. My kids don't even want to watch it - they make time for demi lovato's show and some others - but J-3 is soooooo poorly written, it's like the Monkees, but boringer. (Yes, I made that word up. because it's the boringest show on tv - worse than QVC).

the show it's better and funnier than many other disney's shows, even funnier than hannah montana… i think the target public it's a little bit older, not so "tween"… and saturday night that teen public it's out having fun out of their houses with friends, i think this is a good change

no, they're not dying down. they've just been in south america, and the fan base there has been incredible - jb's arrival has caught the countries there in an ecstatic whirlwind. they were just in night at the museum. they are coming out with a new album in less than 3 weeks, and their new single Paranoid has been played numerous times by several radio stations. jb has had numerous live chats and news updates, in which the number of fans that have visited or participated in the chats have resulted in crashings of the websites. and having the show on a saturday night was a bad idea anyways; no one watches tv on a saturday night, they're hanging out with friends. sunday will raise the ratings for sure, and one tv show that is actually doing quite well does NOT mean that this band is fading away. and they were popular before they got picked up by disney, and their music is very mature and is entering into the adult world, so think that they chances of them disappearing completely are very low.
Ahhhh, it's like Hanson all over again. Their end is nigh.

They are getting the same ratings as Hannah. Disney is just in a ratings valley…their little heyday is over. The show is doing fine - millions of people are tuning in, but all the expectations set up for their show and their movie were stupidly out of whack with reality.

They are pop and widely relatable, but they are a cut above - credible and worthy of respect; they have too many young fans who don't even get them, musically. It's def time to shed some of those kids, and if that means fading a bit, I think that's OK. It's just what happens when you try to keep your integrity on a network like the Disney Channel. Some people just don't get it.
They are overmarketed, definitely, but not overrated. Underrated by most people, if anything.

The Jonas Brothers will be fine. They've got shows booked and seeling out all over the world for the next 9 months. Pretty soon the US will see what they're missing.
And I'll be going to their shows as long as they offer them! I hope for decades and decades.
