Susan Boyle Checks Into Mental Clinic!

Oh no!
SuBo checked into a mental health clinic on Sunday night!
After losing Britain's Got Talent to dance troupe Diversity, Boyle suffered an "emotional breakdown" and was checked into The Priory clinic in London after show employees noticed the runner-up was "acting strangely" at her hotel.
Even though Susan took the news quite well on stage, placing second really had an affect on poor SuBo backstage!
The singer reportedly yelled, "I hate this show. I hate it," after "swearing and throwing a cup of water over a floor manager who tried to calm her down."
Boyle then returned to her hotel where show workers promptly called an ambulance to pick up a "spaced out" SuBo around 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Not everyone can handle the extreme media pressure poor SuBo was under!
She'll be back on her feet after some much needer R&R, no doubt.
Britain's Got Talent production company TalkbackThames has released the following statement about Susan's mental health condition:
"Following Saturday night's show, Susan is exhausted and emotionally drained. She has been seen by her private GP who supports her decision to take a few days out for rest and recovery. We offer her our ongoing support and wish her a speedy recovery."

Well I have to admit competition can do that to you…especially if you really want it enough you can taste. I hope she's alright.
I can't imagine being famous or well know. I would not want that at all. I just want their money and that's it. Keep the fame but give me the cash that's for sure. She seems so sweet by the way and be kind to her P-Rez at least she's got talent and can sing, unlike that nasty has-been Britney Spears.
The make-over and premature diva hissy fits were the downfall of this nutjob. This is where it should all end.
She 'won' with her 1st performance — As someone else said, she went from being a nobody to being the most downloaded woman in history — within a couple of weeks. From a Scottish villager to being the world's hottest celebrity of the moment.
You showed 'em, Susan! Get some rest now and take it easy.
Like I said, you already won the 'Celebrity of the World' and now you can pick and choose what you want to do.

I think it's important that people know that Susan Boyle was starved of oxygen as a baby, and this left her with mild brain damage, so no wonder the poor woman cant cope, and sometimes behave erratically. I wish her a speedy recovery

so, now we know, when any celebrity checks in for 'exhaustion” they have had a breakdown. I truely understand why -living alone with her cat for years and then all that attention thrust on her…. and then it is …………… over… she does have a chance of a career……. and I think she should take it, as long as she has help along the way

Someone who lived a pretty quiet life suddenly getting thrusted in front of the cameras and lights, I'd need to go there to if that happened.

This is so sad. I hope she recovers quickly. I can understand the breakdown. That was completely ridiculous that she came in second place. That dance troop was NOT better than her…by any means! However, I do believe she will still be fine because she's bound to get a record contract. She's amazing.

What is with "celebrities" checking themselves into a hospital for "exhaustion," no normal person does this, wtf? She ha her 15 minutes now go away.
She needs to be left alone for a while. The media, paps and all the attention can really take a toll. Especially for someone who wasn't quite stable in the first place. She does have talent, but everything happened to her too fast, too soon. Even a stable person would have a breakdown because of all the pressure and attention day in and day out. It's not easy. Get well soon Susan. You are a star regardless of coming in 2nd. Nowadays, 2nd is better than 1st because you're not tied down to a contract and politics and you're free to venture into whatever strikes your fancy or whatever offer is best for you.
For all producers, promoters, agents, handlers, hucksters and hypers, there might be a reminder here and a caution. Who knows how many talented hopefuls in show business have been driven to a similar state by the greed and pressure of the money machine. Ms. Boyle's negative reactions are not so unusual, but normally they are carefully concealed from the public. Ms. B. doesn't like the idea of being stripped of her privacy, and her peace of mind, and her soul, and she doesn't care who knows it. That is refreshing, and it amounts to an actual instruction to those who have no conscience about creating such a condition.

The reason for her meltdown was NOT(!) that she was 2nd at the finals!!!
She was kind of "relieved" she didn t come in 1st place!
She has been haunted and provoked at hotels by the press and fans for weeks BEFORE the finals and that was too much pressure on her! It s irresponsible of the producers of that show BGT to not have given her any personal assistance if they put her int he youtube limelight first and then let her be tortured and followed by tabloids and papparazzi for 7 long weeks before the finals!
And then came the ENVIOUS remarks in the press, cause British tabloids always(!) like to tear down some one they had built up before!
She may suffer from Asperger s or something related to it due to what happened at her birth and I really wonder how some people, also ont he internet, can look into their MIRRORS after they poured shit on Ms. Boyle out of envy and because they can t stand someone s luck!

I feel for her, but tbh she has never been all there, for gods sake she has learning difficulties, she shouldn't be put under that much pressure without some help. I'm not a praying person but good vibessss to Susan : )

It's apparent from watching her on the show that she has a lot of issues. First she lacks self confidence and is most likely a loner in general. She tries hard to be funny as a defense mechanism and is socially inept, but most likely highly intelligent. She isn't the average person and obviously is not the type of person to be put under that type of pressure and stardom. Hope she feels better and gets a break from all the attention.

Well, it's not as if we didn't see it coming after her meltdown the day before…or was it the same day, but earlier? Anyway, I guess it's good she didn't win becuz it doesn't seem as if she could handle all the attention.
Has it occured to anyone that this woman is a bitch? When she first appeared on the show she seemed cocky, smart-assy and not very bright. These reports of her flipping out on people and saying fucking this and fucking that are not really surprising. Just because she looks like some sweet little minger, doesn't mean she's not a childish, bitchy, egomaniacal pain in the ass. Emotional breakdown = Hissy fit because she lost.
She must have been under a lot of pressure from photographers and the paps.

yeah when i first heard her sing, I thought she was genuine.. but as time goes on.. it's obvious that she's a nutcase who made up a sob story so the public would fall in love with her. glad they picked the right winner!!!

i feel bad for her but i think it's extremely hypocritical how she has a emotional / mental breakdown and many people offer her support who bashed celebs such as britney in their time of needs. britney also had a mental / emotional breakdown, but she got bad press because of it and susan boyle gets empathy. Empathy is what someone deserves in this situation. I hope she gets well soon!!

The Priory in London is NOT a mental hospital. It is a private hospital as opposed to the National Health Service.
PEREZ: Will you please stop drawing dots on people's eyes? The eyes are indeed the windows to the soul, and when you draw dots on them, you render the person almost unrecognizable.
