Alien Prequel In The Works!

With the success of Star Trek and Wolverine, all the sci-fi geeks are out to bank on the hype!
Now, there will be a prequel to Alien, which would make it the 5th film in the franchise.
Being that it is a prequel, that surely cancels out Sigourney Weaver playing Ripley, but if the creators are smart, they will fit her in somewhere.
Production will hopefully begin by the end of this year.

ALIEN must be with sigorney weaver and not with another girl! SORRY but this movie can be massive but must have sigorney weaver is her life time movie! THIS MOVIE ISNT ABOUT THE ALIENS is about a strong weird woman that battles is space, massive her intrepretation in those ALIENS movies! SIGORNEY WEAVER MUST BE IN THAT MOVIE, like indiana jones must be Harrison Ford, if they change it the movie will be crap! All th cult beeing it will die.

What you should be BITCHIN' ABOUT is the fact that they mishandled Weaver's character AFTER ALIEN 2!!! Because Alien 3 should have been her…Newt and Michael Biehn's character going AFTER THE ALIENS ON THEIR PLANET!!!

I would be much more interested in seeing the Alien's world with NO HUMANS at all and using sub-titles for their languages that would be real SCI-Fi
I don't know about this one?I thought the series ran it's course once it became "Alien Vs. Preditor".If they get a great director and find a way to put Sigourney in it, it should be good!
Are you stupid Perez, what is she like 90 now. Its a Prequel, and most likely you will see her character not Sigourney but a younger person playing her. I hope. Time to go in another direction with this Lets see where the Aliens started and what not. The movie is aliens not Sigourney Weaver.

i never even saw the first 4, so no.
There was a cut scene in the original ALIEN where Ripley received a letter from her daughter. Because of deep space travel, the daughter is older than Ripley (in the cut scene they show an image of the daughter and she is seen as being in her 50's). EASY to put Sigourney Weaver in the prequel—have her play the 50-ish daughter.

Yes, I would love to see another Alien movie. Sigourney Weaver had to be in it somehow. The same way the added Leonard Nimoy's into the Star Trek prequel as Spock. That kicked ass and made the Spock character even more kick ass.
I want to see Ripley kick more ass. If it's someone else it will be totally lame and I will wait for it to come on cable. Nope I'm not paying for a DVD!
Oh, jeezz, when are they gonna realize Alien just isnt Alien without Ripley. AVP was hard to get through, and that was a decent movie. Im an oldschool movie/music fan and just cant imagine Alien with anyone but Sigourney. Mind you, I will always watch Alien, regardless of whos in it, or how long it takes me to watch it from beggining to end lol.
COME ON!!! They need to have Sigourney reprise her role!!!! The franchise needs her! She stated on many occasions she would be interrested in returning to Aliens!!!!!!
