Are The Britain's Got Talent Producers The Ones To Blame???

Britain's Got Talent is facing some serious backlash with Susan Boyle still holed up in The Priory rehab clinic.
Critics are placing the blame on the producers of the show for SuBo's "emotional breakdown" that proceeder her loss on Saturday!
Boyle, who suffers from "learning difficulties," was also suffering from growing anxiety as the finals drew closer. The naysayers claim that the producers and ITV went against section eight of the broadcasting code in the UK, which clearly states: "People in a state of distress should not be put under pressure to take part in a programme or provide interviews, unless it is warranted."
Spokespeople for the talent program are looking into the claim and are taking it very seriously, they say.
"It is a very different scenario. But because of the level of media attention and the speed with which it became a global phenomenon, we will be reviewing all of our policies in relation to psychological treatment," stated Talent producers Talkback Thames.
Boyle is currently taking a much needed rest at the mental health clinic in London, where her brother Gerry is positive she will be back on her feet in a few days.

Omg susan boyles voice isnt even that good, compare her to adam lambert who is amazing. she cursed at reporters, and threw a shit fit when she lost, just because shes ugly everyone feels bad for her, she should go back in her cave, she has a bad attitude and looks like crap, and her voice is shaky
This is a learning curve for all. Nothing like this has ever happened before.
And to all the naysayers, YOU try being under all that scrutiny and not buckle.
Even 10 year old Hallie broke down during her semi final. She pulled it together and did well.
Susan's family should have been there, which I believe some were. Proof that EVERYONE who does this needs a close friend with them during all this.
She's a grown ass women and producers use mentally challenged people all the time on reality tv.
or MAYBE - just maybe - she became crazy because she has lived alone with her cat all her life and never been kissed? Just saying.

When they were ready to announce the winner she looked disturbed. Turns out she was. Get well soon Susan.
I feel really bad for her. It was all the hype and media attention. They are brutal in England when it comes to the press/paps. They just love to build a person up so that they can watch (or help) them fail. She just wasn't equipped to deal with it all. Seriously, what average human being would be?

THE INVESTIGATION SHOULD BE A GOOD THING. THE MEDIA HAS TO LEARN THAT SENSITIVE PEOPLE WITH EMOTIONS AND FEELINGS SHOULD BE TREATED WELL AND WITH THE RESPECT THEY DESERVE. SHE SEEMS LIKE A LOVELY LADY EVEN IF A LITTLE KOOKY…SHE'S A MILLION TIMES BETTER THAN SUPER QUEER ADAM LAMBERT.
taking her out of the competition would likely have had the same result. she was way too emotionally invested no matter which way you look at it. but she will likely look back and be glad she finished.

Maybe if America and the rest of the world didnt try getting a piece of her so quickly she would have been ok, and possibly won. Thanks to the world wide media attention she got everyone became sick of hearing about her, and she gained an ego from it, im not suprised losing sent her crazy.

i have to echo what crazylilgal said..
her voice isn't that great… it's decent.. but she sang the same damn song how many times? she threw fits, swore at the media… she's not the innocent, sweet old lady she appeared to be the first time around - I don't get the whole 'mentally challenged' story.. she seems perfectly fine - a little weird.. but her family should have stepped in sooner if they felt she wasn't emotionally or mentally capable of being on the show. IMO It isn't the shows fault.. it was her choice to perform - she obviously can't handle being famous - so she shouldn't be.

if she didn't want the attention she shouldn't have gone on the show in the first place. shes the one that wanted to be a professional singer, dreams come at a price love!!
