SuBo's Bro Speaks!

As we mentioned previously, Britain's Got Talent contestant Susan Boyle suffered an "emotional breakdown" after losing the competition and was checked into The Priory rehab clinic in London on Sunday.
But SuBo's brother is now speaking out in defense of the aspiring singer.
Her bro, Gerry Boyle, claims Susan will "bounce back" soon after being "exhausted and emotionally drained".
According to Gerry:
“When Susan was a bit younger and she had the normal things that we all worry about like exams she tended to get herself a wee bit upset just before, but after the event and after she’s been reassured she always takes the view that, oh well, things aren’t so bad after all. It’s just part of her character.”
Poor Subo.
Susan is expected to stay in the clinic for the next few days to be assessed before a decision is made.
Plans are already underway for a US tour. They're also talking about her recording an album of Broadway hit songs with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra.
And that's all aside from the fact that she's going on tour with the Britain's Got Talent national arena tour starting June 12th. That is, if she gets out of there in time.
Gerry, who's spoken to SuBo during her stay in the clinic, adds:
“She’s saying that she’s feeling a lot better than yesterday. She’s seems a bit more relaxed than she was yesterday and a wee bit less anxious. I think it’s a culmination of a bit of anxiety, a bit of not knowing where her career is going to go from now, not having any family members around about her and then suddenly being in a clinic which is probably painting the wrong perspective of what’s happening because, let’s face it, clinics conjure up allsorts of things.”

She seems like a lovely person, but VOILA - the difference between raw talent and professional level ability to handle an entertainment carrer. Lots of people have raw talent. Not a lot of people can handle showbiz for a living.

She is too fragile for a career in showbusiness. You really have to have nerves of steel to be able to handle the limelight and control your nerves while performing, and she doesn't have it. Undoubtedly she is greatly talented, but she can't handle this kind of pressure. I wish her the best.

She could be my little sister and I think she's just great. I hope she pulls it together and puts out a Long Playing record soon. A lot of great singers go crazy. Most of you kids are too young to remember when Mariah Carey went crazy, back in the late 90's right before her career totally tanked. If Mooriah can pull it together, so can Susan Boyle.

Chime in if you can quote an artist who imploded after global success. It does NOT matter if you are a pop star, or a quiet woman from a small village. Both are artists, have artistic personalities, and are sensitive people. Both are susceptible to ugly criticism and jealous attacks. Susan's music to me is more real than britney's HO SHOW.

I am not surprised that she didn't win but I am really just worried for the poor old gal. I don't know if she is up for this whole fame gig. It is NEVER what anyone expects it to be. NEVER!! It is a tulmultiouse, heavy, pressure filled life to all of the sudden be thrown into. She instantly became a celebrity overnight. Within minutes of that first performance on BGT she was famous and she always will be from here out. I think that she enjoyed the whirlwind begining of it all of course but then the darker side sets in and people really do get to find out what the creepy side of it all is about. I think she will be fine once she really adjusts to her new role in life and what it means to be a public figure. She is older and that is a plus for her. I really do wish her nothing but the best and I am anxious to see her perform agian in the near future.
