The Mouse Wants More Pooh!

Smart move Disney people!

3D movies and computer animation may be all the rage, but Disney remembers that sometimes, it's the artistry of the pen and paper that captivate audiences most. That's why, the company famous for animated classics, is returning to it's roots and creating an all-new, hand drawn, 2D animated feature.

How….nostalgic!

And since they are planning a throwback, they figured they would go all the way, by developing a film with a beloved Disney character: Winne the Pooh.

Not many more details are available, but the flick is due out in 2011, so get excited!

I was honestly thinking yesterday how i wish Disney would do another hand-drawn film and then I read this. Yay!!!

    Aww yay:)
I'm getting tired of all the 3d animation. I missed the old fashion movies and cartoons

    :D

There's something about computer animation that just seems cold and lifeless compared to classic hand drawn animation. Glad Disney is giving the old style another shot.

aww yay! tigger and piglet are my favvvs(:

    YES!
I've been waiting for the old animation to come back.
The new animation is too real looking and it doesn't give us a true Disney feel.
For example, Cinderella and all those types of animated movies made us feel like kids where we imagined a world that never could relate to real life looking people.
The new types of movies like Cars suck because they're too real.
Someone is smart and is going to bring Disney back!

Oh, and about the movie, I'm totally psyched.
    Go Winnie!

OMG this is the best move ever. I am so excited. People who can draw ROCK seriously lets get back to the Disney renaissance already. I miss the days of The Little Mermaid and The Lion King so nostalgic and Winnie the Pooh to boot awww yay we get hand drawn and we get to go back to the 100 acre woods. Eeek. I will totally go see this too probably steal my nephew or something to see it with me, but still so excited.

Didn't the last Pooh movie, the Heffalump one do really bad? I love Disney and I love their 2D stuff but I can't stand Pooh he is so annoying and makes me think of 500 pound women wearing Pooh stuff and trying to look cute when they don't

  11. 11
