That's part of being in the business, experiencing some of the same things other artists have. As far as THE FAME…it was first released in Canada in Aug 2008, was released in the rest of the world between September 2008 and May 2009 (where it released in Asia). So yes, that's 8 months or less the album has been available to the world.

      To everyone else: Anyone who says Gaga is trying to copy Madonna or trying too hard either are just too lazy to come up with a better analysis, or you just have no imagination. Every musician/artist is influenced by a generation before them. It's not a crime to show your influences and your affection for another artist. If she was doing Madonna's songs or style note for note, that would be copying. Madonna's been accused of copying as well, and when she came out, she wasn't doing anything new. She didn't create dance music, and she's not the first iconic blonde. The only reason why Madonna is still making music is because she refuses to be accepted as an old diva and wants to compete with all the younger stars. Cher, Tina, Bonnie Raitt–they've all had successful albums and/or tours at 50–it's nothing new. Madonna is just catching up. The only difference is those artists are willing to take time out of the spotlight, return for a while to a normal life, and aren't trying to compete with Britney Spears or Pink or whoever is hot at the moment. Madonna said she's not going to stop what she's doing until people stop talking about her. Honestly, she wouldn't know what to do if people stopped talking about her.
