Dr. Drew Sends A Warning Out To Lindsay

Celebrity Rehab's Dr. Drew is known for his compassion and sympathy for Z-list celebrities struggling with addiction. But it is the ones he isn't treating that he is truly worried about, like Lindsay Lohan.
In a recent interview, the Doc expressed his concern for the downward-spiraling actress:
"I'm convinced that she'll get sober one day. But I'm afraid that between now and then, she may get a nearly mortal wound of some type. I'm really convinced that something horrible is going to have to happen to her before she really gets over it and embraces sobriety. She needs to give it up. And it's going to be a while before she does. I have this image that she's going to lose a limb or something before she does. And it scares me."
We're glad you're convinced she'll kick the habit, but we aren't as sure.
Of course, we'd love to watch her try on national TV.

The idiotic thing is that people keep hiring her for things and projects, when they should not. If she could get no work whatsoever, then she'd have no choice but to get help.
In regards to shame, there is no such thing anymore. When Paris Hilton gets huge media attention for making porn and going to jail, then why would Lindsey not do all the messed up things she does, when she knows it's going to get her media attention. I don't think these girls give a damn about shame or feeling shame.

Yeah, he has so much compassion and sympathy for them that the created shows around them and broke the cardinal rules of anonymity that are part of every successful recovery program at the expense of his patient's getting better. His behavior has guaranteed that they will all relapse as they are being rewarded and getting attention after lagging careers for their addiction and exploits in front of the camera. Ask anyone who has ever successfully recovered, there is a reason those rules are in place. Recovery isn't about fame and ego and it takes privacy and anonymity to do so successfully. No wonder they are relapsing. This man needs to be in jail.

I've been listening to Loveline for well over a decade, and he's never broken the anonymity rule. Ever. It's completely different when a patient gives the doctor permission and is signing up to be on TV.
