She's 9!!!!!!
Although she starred in Danny Boyle's Oscar winning film, this book will recount her life of poverty.
Hasn't Rubina been through enough?
Now she has to pimp it out!
"Rubina brings alive a world of wastelands and rat-infested shanty dwellings, and shows us her home, a wooden shack with a tarpaulin roof, where she grew up with her beloved father and siblings," said a statement given by her publisher.

i agree with suzy q, its sickening how people would try to sell their own kid to get money, but making her publish a book at age 9 is just surreal (not in a good way either)
I smell her daddy trying to cash in on his daughter yet again! Why hasnt this little girl been taken from him yet? Hes basicly pimping her any way he can.

i think that it's a good and bad idea in certain ways….bad because she's being used the poor thing, but good, because it will raise much more awareness on her devastating situation. i wish all the best to her!

Normally I'd laugh at the idea of a nine year old writing an autobiography, but in her case I'd make an exception. Poor kid's been through the wringer, and needs some financial independence and a good court-appointed guardian that won't try to sell her.
Wow, I can't believe people here are being so judgemental. They live in grinding poverty and Rubina has no access to money until she is adult. They are living in SLUMS. wtf do you think he is trying to sell her story. Maybe some of you should read it and then maybe you'd understand.
Gosh celebrity children over here support their families, and their parents could probably find jobs to support their family with a decent standard of living. He has no means or opportunity to feed, clothe and house his family with a decent standard of living. The real question is why wouldn't he???
Ask yourselves this: if you were living in absolute squalor and filth with your children and partner with no ladders of opportunity to lift yourselves out, would you not sell your childs story so the family can stay together and have enough to eat and live in a clean sanitary, safe home????

on an italian tv program, called 'Le Iene' interviewed her father in india, and Rubina and they asked him if it was true that he was going to sell his daughter, but he said he wouldnt for the world!! heard it with my own ears!
