Another Vampire Movie For Him!

Boy, talk about beating a trend to death!
Yet another vampire movie is in the works, and this one will include a familiar Twilight face.
Cam Gigandet is set to appear in Priest, a film based off a TokyoPop comic book about wars between vampires and humans. Paul Bettany is also slated to star as the aforementioned priest, who rebels against his clergyman duties in order to save his kidnapped niece from a group of vicious vampires.
Gigandet's character comes to his aid because he is in love with his niece.
Depending on how gruesome and violent this shiz turns out to be, we don't see it doing too well, at least not with Twilighters, which we're sure the producers are banking on.
Would U go see the film?

Good for him. Maybe he's trying to be part of an actual good vampire movie this time around. There's more to being a vampire than playing Vampire Baseball!, not having fangs, and sparkling. Oh, and Aimee, not every vampire movie that comes out after TWILIGHT is a "wannabe". There were hundreds of vampire movies, tv shows, books, etc. that came before TWILIGHT and certainly did the vampire mythos 1000x better than Meyer's Mormon vampire bullshit.
Yes, 'Twilight' doesn't have exclusive rights on vampire stories.

Dude, I dont care that he is in another vamp movie. He can do what he wants with his career. I am a fan of twilight, but ive been a fan of vampires a hell of a lot longer (probably when I was a toddler too). So I would definitely see this movie regardless of Cam, although I do love his work.
Of course I would go see it, it sounds interesting but I would have to know more about it and see how it is made through the trailers and such. I looks like it had more of a plot and action to it. Twilight isn't the be all to end all of vampire movies, in fact Twilight is prettty medicore compare to other vampire movies and books. I don't why people are so crazy about it, the plot and characters were undeveloped and the movie was C grade at best. if this movie is made good with a lot of action and stuff I would go see it in a heartbeat and the guy is a hottie too

I will see it if it gets good reviews. I read the Preist Manga as a kid. Talk about crazy violent and bloody. I hope it turns out well.

Oh wow, how awesome! Priest is one of my favorite manhwa (korean comics)! I totally can't wait to see it! I hope it's super gruesome and violent like the comic. that'd be great.

Movies about vampires seem to do relatively well, in general, as vampires have their own built in fan base. For whatever reason, people are fascinated by vampires.

Look up some lore. You'll be amazed at how much Meyer fucked up.

the graphic novels rock big time and will have a huge following all on their own. It's definatly a different brand than Twilight, but I love both so it will work for some.

Newsflash for Perez and his readers, tons of Japanese anime are vampire based. and those 'toons have way better plots than Twilight. i like the series and the movie but i have enough common sense not to become a rabid fan and diss every vampire movie to come out after Meyer's little fairytale. Priest was good but i would rather see a Vampire Hunter D or Blood+ movie.

first off those vamp in twilight were not vamps. Cam is not going to be typecasted he has tons of movies coming out in which his roles are not alike. look it up. This vamps in this movie will be REAL vamp movie, plus cam is a great actor and i will see anything with cam in it, he is a great person he is a sweetheart, and he was in twilight for the good parts of the movie, cam made that worth seeing. yes i will be seeing this b/c it cam and vampires.
ok i'm PISSED cam gigandet isn't going to be typecasted, he has tons of movie in which his roles are unlike the others. he doesnt need to worry about being typecasted, b/c really those so called "vampires" in twilight were not vampires, this movie will be TRUE vampires nothing the same at all. Cam gigandet has lots of movies that are not like the others, plus how many vamp roles are there really going to be. nothing about his role in priest is like his role in twilight. Twilight is nothing about vampires, steph m. may have called them vampire but she screwed the vamp all up, i loved cam's role in twilight and he did an amazing job, but damn this is a TRUE vampire movie, nothing typecasted about this.
