Lots of people felt like a dirty comedy!
The film did even better than the early projections said!
In a surprise at the box office this weekend, the WB comedy The Hangover took the #1 spot over Disney & Pixar's Up!
No, we're not kidding. No one was more surprised than the studio execs, who expected the Disney powerhouse and the Laker's game would keep their audiences away.
The flick brought in $45 million dollars in ticket sales, trailed close behind by Up with $44.3 million.

Yes, and it was EFFING HILARIOUS - I didn't stop laughing the entire time. I wanna go back and see it next weekend. "Actually any other weekend but next weekend works - the Jonas Brothers are in town." But seriously, GO SEE IT PEOPLE!

I laughed so hard during the final credits I had tears streaming down my face. I will buy this when it comes out on DVD however I am scared of what the Unrated version might be like!

I saw it at a sneak preview last week and went to see it again last night. It's best to go with a group of friends that have been to Vegas or plan on going soon.

No one expected for "The Hangover" to make $30 million dollars, let alone over $40 million, so this is pretty friggin surprising.
Oh and this is my favorite comedy this year and the best comedy I've seen in a long, long, long while. It's ridiculously funny.

ummmm. i've heard by other sources that Up! actually beat out the hangover…but them i have also read in other places what you are reporting perez. it was really close, no matter what, but i don't know who to believe. my local paper and imdb.com are both reporting that Up! made $44.2 mil and The Hangover brought in $43.3 mil this past weekend
