Whitney Houston: Diva About Drug Talk

Filed under: Drugs > Whitney Houston

wenn1845755.jpg

Whitney Houston is ready to open up about her seven year exile from recording and hit the publicity trail to promote her upcoming album, out this September!!!

The catch?!

According to the NY Daily News, the diva refuses to talk about her drug use!

Insane!!!!

According to an insider, "They only want to let her talk to journalists who’ll agree not to ask about her substance abuse. The deal is, if they want her, then Matt Lauer, Diane Sawyer or whoever isn’t supposed to ask her tough questions."

Houston's rep claims that these are "premature" PR plans.

Spin, Spin!!!

Bad move, Whitney!

No self-respecting journalist would agree to an interview with those conditions!

But there is no more self respecting TV journalism. Ever since Oprah let Michael Jackson say during her Interview that he was dating Brook Shields, and she let that pass without even trying to dig deeper since it was an obvious lie, the rest of TV has followed along. My guess is, that all the big shows are bidding to get Whitney, each one promising to ask her more softball questions than the other.

if she wants people to respect her, she should admit she isnt perfect. she could help other addicts by doing so, and maybe even get more fans. but THAT just shows how selfish, self centered, and IDIOTIC she actually is. if anything, make MONEY off your past mistakes!!

  3. 3

She is a Diva. let her do what she wants! luv u erin!
    first!

  4. 4

good for her for wanting to bring the focus back to her music and not the tireless reviews she's done ALREADY

  5. 5

JOURNAISTS WHO RESPECT THEIR CLIENTS AND HAVE MORALS WOULD DO IT PEREZ!!!!!!!!!!!

OF COURSE YOU DONT BELONG IN THAT CATEGORY

  6. 6

What's the fun in that? Everyone knows the juicier the interview, the more people who become interested. Tell us the sordid details on living the crack life! We'll love it!

  7. 7

She should just be happy there's 4 or 5 people left who still want to listen to her screeching voice.

  8. 8

I want to hear the good stuff!!!! And how much crack did you smoke??

Whitney, Whitney, don't do that. All you have to do is say I would rather not discuss that at this time when the question pops up. On the other hand, here is your opportunity to help relate to millions of people who have a drug addiction problem. You could help!

  10. 10

I don't hear people asking Britney how much cocaine and crystal meth she did. That bitch was popping pills and shooting up too. Why try to bombard Whitney? Let her have her comeback like the white girl did

  11. 11

    FOX will

  12. 12

who really cares about her any more? once her and bobby revealed he once picked shit out of her ass cause she was constipated, that was it for me.

Aknowlegement makes u stronger. She can't do a Mariah with this one.

  14. 14

Be real and talk about all the shit you did…accept it and go on with your life…honesty…be HONEST….it will be a better healer…you will get respect from others instead of that feeling of dishonesty…admit what you did and thats it…you are not doing it now so nothing to worry about it…NO PAIN NO GAIN…

  15. 15

    BOBBY!

  16. 16

I agree with Whitney, it's not their fuckin' business, stick to what's really important when it comes to her: the music.
She should forget about those losers and do Larry King. He's always polite and doesn't cross the line.
Plus I don't wanna hear again 'crack is cheap, crack is whack'

    Go Whitney!!!

  17. 17

I guess it's her right to talk about what she feels comfortable to talk about. I hope she reconsiders talking about her issues, not for deep gossip but to inspire people who are trying & need to get off drugs.

  18. 18

    She ´s right!!
    Ain´t nobody buisness but hers!!!

So what?? She's not the only singer who's obviously been doing some coke and other things! I don't see 'journalist' asking them!
"self-respecting journalist" If they were really self-respecting they'd have the respect to not ask her period.
People should be asking about her music not her drug abuse.

  20. 20

Just talk about it, what is the big deal?!?!?!

  21. 21

I dont care about that shit.. let the lady sing.. it is what she does best. Leave her alone and let her get her life back!

  22. 22

This bitch doesn't dance or exert herself during shows but she always sweating like a pig.

  23. 23

"Bobby. Bobby. Bobby! Bobby!! Bobby!!! Booooooooooooobbbbbbbbyyyyy!!!"
Whitney, If I were you, I'd FOCUS solely on my drug use in ALL my interviews.
Who gives a fuck about your music now?
Remember, you're basically a "remember her" singer.
At best, at least the crazy made you interesting.
"Bobby. Bobby. Bobby! Bobby!! Bobby!!! Booooooooooooobbbbbbbbyyyyy!!!"

  24. 24

i agree she should face her trials & tribulations
we all grow through things, shes not being the big -self respecting person if she doesnt.

Re: greeningreeneNY – Maybe she has faced what she's gone through and coming back to the music is her finally stepping to the other side.

Addiction is hard, bitches. Not everyone can just put it out there for millions to see. You ever think that maybe she just can't talk about it right now? Who knows, maybe she will in the future, but that's her call.

Give her space. Let her breath. Everything has its time and its place, and you can't rush it.

    Go 'head Whitney. Sing it.

  26. 26

well crack is wack and i dont want to glamorize my meth daze either 8 yrs ago

  27. 27

Perhaps Ms. Whitney "I can carry a motherfucking tune in a bucket" Houston wants to put and keep the emphasis on what put her on the map in the first place, her voice. It's time to put the drugs behind her and focus on the future. She dropped that scumbag husband in the garbage can so why shouldn't she drop the rest of it in there, too? That's right, Ms. Houston, close the lid on that trash can because you can't have that reek crimping your style.

  28. 28

    Re: obbie doobie!

Yeah, but she h'aint wit that fool anymore. Moving forward never backward. See ladies, this is what happens when an intelligent, articulate, talented, strong, independent and beautiful woman allows a man to drag her into the gutter. Let it be a lesson to us all.

  29. 29

Here's my take: Chances are, Whitney DOESN'T want every single show to ask her about her previous issues. Can you imagine how weird it'd be if she was on Conan or Letterman or Jimmy Fallon and they were asking her questions about her drug use? That'd be inappropriate. Whitney will probably do one big interview (with someone like Oprah) in which she'll talk about the drug usage and her marital issues. And after that, the issue will be put to rest. No other interview will have her talking about that stuff. And rightfully so.

  30. 30

it ´s her privacy and her choice !!! she would like to concentrate on music, not on speaking about doing drugs !

  31. 31

she's OVER> The voice is gone. Nothing special about this cracky now.

  32. 32

Re: Cottonquinn – but the voice is gone dearest.

  33. 33

"No self-respecting journalist would agree to an interview with those conditions" Hey Perez you should give that same advice to those interviewing OBAMA and his administration!!!!!! Good One (Just Kidding like they really would)

  34. 34

    people want dirt.
