Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf must bond over a few joints after work since Megan thinks the green light should be given to legalize weed.
The Transformers actress admits to GQ that she would be the "first person in line to buy a pack of joints" and that she has no idea why it still has a stigma attached to it.
"I can't tell you how much bullshit I've been through because I will openly say that I smoke weed…People look at it like it's this crazy, hippy, fucked up thing to do. And it's not. I hope they legalize it."
And when that happens, the stock of Cheetos and Ho-Hos is just going to skyrocket!
But we wouldn't hold our breath for that one, Megan. Just stick close to Shia, his 'rents have the hook-up.

The sad thing is, a lot of people will agree with her. Those people never see the bad side of it. I grew up in a family who all smoked weed and it was horrible. I watched my childhood friend get involved with it and ruin his life. My ex started and hung around with others who did it and got himself into trouble. I used to smoke weed in my teens and then decided it wasn't worth it. In my experience, the people around me who got involved with it just stopped giving a shit about life and let everything fall to pieces. Sure, the occasional joint is fine, but I am thinking that having it made legal will only have people smoking it more often, which in turn will cause more problems.

wow…. reading through the comments on this post makes me lose just a little bit more faith in humanity. marijuana grows out of the ground all on its own, it is a plant not a 'drug', and if left unprocessed, and *used in moderation*, its effects are less harmful than alcohol (a substance that does not exist without processing)…. i'm not saying that weed is harmless, it can have adverse affects on the body and brain if over used, just like alcohol, but unlike alcohol it has been shown through research that it is *impossible to overdose or poison yourself with marijuana*, as opposed to alcohol poisoning that has a yearly death toll in the thousands. historical documentation proves that humans have been using marijuana recreationally and medicinally for at least as long as alcohol, if not longer. my main point is that the government shouldn't have the right to illegalize the possession of a plant that is native to parts of this country. i know it's extemely difficult for some of you, but i beg you to listen to reason. that is all.

William Randolph Hearst, who was the richest man in the world at the time, owned several newspapers. He owned his own forests for growing trees to make paper. Hemp can produce 8 times as much paper per acre as trees, so Hearst wanted it banned and started smear campaigns.
Anyway, from the 1920s on, pot became the target of moral crusaders. There were some very funny (unintentionally funny) movies made in the 30s like 'Reefer Madness' and 'Marijuana–Weed with Roots in Hell' that showed innocent teenagers smoking pot and then going on rampages of murder and rape and death. These films repeated the old lie that pot was physically addictive, led to harder drugs, and destroyed the body.

Yes, weed was great. Hell, I used to be a weed head myself but after living though some crazy shit and turning my life around I noticed that weed IS a "gateway drug". Ideally, pot should not be legalized but decriminalized so it stays under the table. Ultimately, individual states should decide their own laws on weed. The government taxing it would be the equivalent of the government promoting it and that would be wrong.

I have now lost alot of respect that i once had for Megan. I used to be all for legalizing marijuana until my cousin was killed by a person driving under the infuence. Pot impairs your judgement just as bad as alcohol, so legalizing it would only allow more people to drive under the influence. And how do you test people on the spot for that? I'm a senior in high school and honestly, I only know about 7 people in my entire class that never have smoked weed…most of them that do started during like 8th grade. Kids are gonna do it either way. Even if there's an age limit on it, they'll still do it. I know it sucks when people actually do get addicted to it, I've been around people like that and it's kinda like.."why?". But it's the same for alcohol and igarettes. Both are addicting and harmful to people around it, but they are both very legal.
