Mercy For Madonna, Queen Of Pop Allowed To Adopt Little Girl!

When you are the Queen, chances are, you will always get what you want.
And when you're Madonna, you tend to want to add more Malawi kids to your brood.
That's exactly what happened!
After a three month judicial block from the adoption, Madonna has finally gotten the courts permission to adopt Malawian orphan Mercy James, The Sun is reporting.
Madge was able to persuade three appeal judges, two of which have already submitted reports recommending it go ahead and the third who is said to be "in complete unison with them".
The official ruling will be announced at Malawi's Supreme Court of Appeal next Sunday and a close friend of Madonna claims the superstar is "escastic."
Way to go, Madge! Congrats! Just a few more and your clan can face off against Angelina's!
UPDATE: Unfortunately the reports were inaccurate. According to Madonna's rep, "Madonna has not been informed that a ruling has been made. We remain hopeful."

Seriously. why does she have this desire to adopt children just to turn around and leave them with nannies. I see how their life could be better with her but it seems as if she does it to make herself look good and doesn't want to put the time in to really raise them.

finally, im so happy that she is getting to adopt this lil girl…not because she is madge, but because being adopted myself i know how awful it is to feel that u dont have a real family and to finally get that connection with someone. even tho madge is a busy woman, im sure that she will do everything to give this lil girl love, support and all the opportunities that life can offer!

The government of Malawi has in the past voiced support for the adoption. The country’s Information Minister, Patricia Kaliati, said: “Madonna has been good to us. She is supporting over 25,000 orphans in this country and she has proved that she can take care of David.

i'm kind of disappointed in the judges. don't know what they were paid, but i hope it balances the loss of independency and grace.
A friend of Madonna added: “She’s ecstatic. She’s made a promise that she wouldn’t give up on Mercy and believe me, she could move mountains when she’s this determined.”
At the original court hearing earlier this year, the pop star’s application was rejected because she had not lived in the east African state for the required 18 months. But the judges are now expected to conclude that the rule is out of date.
If, as is now expected, she is able to take Mercy to America, the young girl will be a sibling for Madonna’s Malawian son, David Banda (3).
The star was granted an interim adoption of David in 2006 and immediately took him to Britain. The adoption process was completed last year.

There are so many needy children here in the states that had suffer through neglect, abuse, and drugs and HIV/AIDS exposure. Our children in this country need care too.

Why are so many of you guys hating? She is giving a kid a great home. If you think living in Malawi without a family is such a great alternative, go do it! Adopting in the US is very difficult and take a long time. And anyway, who cares where the kid is from?
