Vegas Showman's Death Ruled Accidental Overdose

The results of the autopsy for legendary Vegas entertainer Danny Gans are finally in and the verdict is an accidental overdose from pain medication.
As we had reported, friends of Danny had worried he had overdosed on steriods from his strict excerise regiment, but the tests concluded that in was in fact the pain killers he took for his chronic pain syndrome that killed him.
Clark County Coroner Michael Murphy insists that this was not a case of "drug abuse," but rather a toxic reaction to the drug because of an existing heart condition.
Very sad, but we're sure it is comforting to have some closure on the situation.

What is the difference between "accidental over dose of pain killers" for "chronic pain" situation and a typical drug addict over dose I ask you? Same freaking thing as when an alcoholic over does it..
Oh my. Perez, you've reported yet ANOTHER false story by spreading the "news" that Ganz may have died from steroid abuse. Thank goodness you're not accountable for anything.
uhhh, u don't take pain meds for a heart condition. In fact, any doctor will tell u that if ur heart is weak, u AVOID them like the plague. Another bullshit publicist makes a fool of him/herself.
That's "exercise regimen".
Will be glad to have the job as your proofreader.
yeah im pretty sure they only use dilaudid for after surgery….lame..ppl
An accidental overdose of pain meds is more common than it should be. If taken for chronic pain, over time people either think they're fine to drink with the medication (which it NEVER is) or the pain doesn't go away and they take another before they should. In the end, the result is the same: death. Accidental simply means that the person did not intend to commit suicide when the meds were ingested.
To be so flippant and say that an overdose is an overdose is quite cold and insensitive. There are people out there who have had family/friends die in this same manner, and when you act like they should have known better, or say/imply that the person it occurs to is no better than someone who uses cocaine or heroine is just wrong. If you don't live in chronic pain, you can't even begin to fathom how the other person feels. All they are trying to do is ease the pain. Sadly, it happens to end tragically.
So sad! Maybe this will wake people up to the fact that it can happen to anyone, anywhere, anytime.
