LaDouche Thinks All Actors Are "Heartbroken"

Woe is Shia LaBeouf!

The Transformers star seems to be totally disenchanted with the movie business, at least in the new interview Shia gave to Parade magazine.

"The good actors are all screwed up. They’re all in pain. It’s a profession of bottom-feeders and heartbroken people," LaBeouf laments to the mag.

And what about those pesky famewhores that make up 99% of Hollywood??

"Actors live dependent on being validated by other people’s opinions," Shia states.

He continues, wondering why people even idolize him for his 'talents': "I don’t understand what it is I do that people want. I don’t know what an actor does. I have no credentials. I don’t know what I’m doing. To my mind, talent doesn’t really exist. Talent is like a card player’s luck. It is motivation, ambition, and luck. It’s just a drive to be the best. I think acting is a con game."

Someone's self-esteem is all out of wack!

As well as his confidence!

"I don’t handle fame well. Most actors on most days don’t think they’re worthy. I have no idea where this insecurity comes from, but it’s a God-sized hole. If I knew, I’d fill it, and I’d be on my way," finished Shia.

You are in the wrong town, LaDouche!

"I don’t understand what it is I do that people want."

NOTHING, you plain-faced douchebag! I always hated this guy, he is just so fugly and dumb. I hope this kills his career. Melodramatic loser. Ugh. I better stop talking :x

    2. 2

Is it his honesty that you are criticizing? Or his modesty? Or that he's not GAY? He's certainly not in your famewhore league, that's for sure.

    3. 3

As if you know what it's like to be an actor, Assmouth Hilton. You're just a gossip blogger sucking up to talentless with publicity.

    4. 4

      so this is love…

    5. 5

couldnt they have chose a better looking pic..

    6. 6

      god perez stop hasseling him

    7. 7

Wow! What a cutie pie! I love him and think this is sweet and endearing and probably spot on.

    8. 8

He Looks Hot There lol! Luv Ya Shia!

    9. 9

Almost everybody feels like this in their early 20s, famous or not, no? It's a confusing time in life, especially re: identity. I like his honesty.

    10. 10

      LaHOT!

I love me some Shia labeouf. You should post the pics. HE LOOKS SO HOT IN THEM!!!

And Perez stop hating that Shia has more talent in his finger than Zac does.

    11. 11

I agree with him. I am now happily married with kids, but once upon a time, I was in a few serious relationships with very famous actors- they were all miserable, depressed and insecure. Even the comedians- especially they comedians! I am convinced that to make it in that business, (most of the time) you have to be very messed up. Of course, there are exceptions, but, rarely.

    12. 12

      He looks like he's 33, not 23.

    13. 13

This makes me like him even more and think less of PH which I didn't think was possible. Sometimes you just don't get it, chubby.

    14. 14

I appreciate his honesty. That's pretty ballsy to admit stuff like that. I think there are probably lots of people with insecurity like this in Hollywood it explains a lot of the bad behavior. Kudos to Shia. I think I just became a fan.

    15. 15

He is sooo weird looking and ugly. He is also crazy, I would not be surprised if he dies soon, he just seems to me like he is on that path of craziness. I do not wish it on him and pray for him but, he is just not right in the head.

      17

Why did you delete the Carrie Prejean getting fired news???? Did you make a mistake, YET AGAIN???

    18. 18

Shia quit smoking shitty weed. But yeah you pretty much summed it up in a nutshell. The movie biz is like the ultimate highschool popularity scenerio with insane amounts of money involved….I always wonder what civilizations thousands of years from now will say about us.

    19. 19

i know it's rare to find a humble celebrity, but just because he doesn't boast himself doesn't mean he has low self esteem, perez. maybe you could learn a thing or two from shia

    20. 20

      .
His honesty is refreshing. I like him a lot.
      .
Shia seems to be going through a lot of the same "fame" emotions
that Robert Pattinson is dealing with!

    21. 21

Perez, you SUCK and not in a good way! Shia spoke truth and because it didn't kiss the asses you love to kiss you call him names and say his self esteem is all out of whack. He is brutally honest and I actually believe everything he says. Look at the proof that exists. If he wasn't so right on target you wouldn't have this column to write shit about people over. Face facts Perez, he's RIGHT, you're WRONG and he is one whole hell of a lot cuter than you will ever be diet or not!

    22. 22

THAT'S WHAT IS SO WRONG WITH THIS INDUSTRY. YOU HAVE MILLION OF APPRECIATIVE ACTORS TRYING TO MAKE A NAME FOR THEMSELVES. THEY GO THEIR WHOLE LIVES TRYING TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY AND RESPECTED. THEY'RE GOAL IS JUST TO GET THAT ONE FOOT IN THE DOOR.
FOR LADOUCHE TO ACT SO UNAPPRECIATIVE OF THIS GOLDEN SWORD HE HAS BEEN HANDED, IS SICKENING TO ME. HE IS STEALING THE ROLES AWAYS FROM THE TRULY TALENTED ACTORS. BETTER LOOKING AS WELL.
I DO AGREE WITH HIM BEFORE HE MENTIONED WHY PEOPLE IDOLIZE HIM. I'M STILL WONDERING THAT QUESTION MYSELF.

    23. 23

Good for him for saying that. There are people that actually want to act and have loads of talent. Then, like Perez, there are people that try so hard to be famous and all they are is heartless, soulless, pieces of crap. He said it exactly right, bottomfeeders.

    24. 24

Re: Samantha07 – That was laugh out loud funny! Ha! I don't really agree about Shia but it was still funny.

    25. 25

What's your beef with SHIA? It sounds like he's got his shit together. He also sounds like a smart insightful person.

    26. 26

He is not fugly, Naughty_Baby_Harley. Not movie star pretty but an interesting face. I thought his words were very heartfelt with more than a grain of truth in them.

    27. 27

He is right, he HAS NO credentials, contributes NOTHING to our society, yet people would ask him to sign his idiot name to a piece of paper. Our society values this celebrities for nothing more than pretending on film, they are not better and in most cased NOT our equals as far as education, and community standing. Most of Hollywood is crazy because their lives lack substance and deep inside they know they are lost and alone. When the hype of fame and money pass they look for quality people to fill their lives and find empty souls just like them, no wonder they all do drugs, get hospitalized.

    28. 28

I can relate. Im in my twenties too and dont know who the hell i am or what im even supposed to be doing with my life. Its not just actors…only difference is their struggles are blasted on the internet for everyone to see as opposed to normal nobodies like me.

    29. 29

SIA DARLING, YOU DONT NEED CREDENTIALS AS AN ACTOR, YOU WERE BORN PRIVLEGED - WHY YOU ASK? WELL LETS SEE ONLY WINNING COMBINATION IN OLE HOLLYWOOD IS IF YOU ARE DECENT LOOKING YOUNG AND JEWISH IS ALL YOU NEED TO SUCCEED. OR IF YOUR HALF JEWISH. JUST ASK BARBARA STREISAND. OR FOLLOW ANY JEWISH ACTORS CAREER. THEY ARE ALWAYS ON TOP. CAUSE WE ALL KNOW HOLLYWOOD IS OWED BY JEWS. GET IT GOOD. HOPE I SHED SOME LIGHT ALL. :)

    30. 30

He's right about actors being insecure though.

    31. 31

      He's just a weird kid.

    32. 32

IDGAF, Perez - Shia is way hotter than the other douchebags you're always running your mouth about (especially Robert Pattinson!)

    33. 33

He said the good actors…not the famous ones. And he's right, talented people are often very tortured. He's just speaking from the heart.

    34. m.j says – reply to this

      34

I love Shia I dont care what anyone says. He's awesome in my mind! He said exactly how I feel about Celebrities. People seem to forget their people like us..their still human not Gods!

    35. 35

perez stfu. You are too small to take on the lebeouf. He's honest and real and perez is a pathetic nobody who talks about the somebodies.

    36. 36

      LOL

Ladouche makes up 2 words in french "la douche" which translates into THE SHOWER

      LOL
so having perez call him that is funny.

if shia doesnt like fame he needs to not be making movies at least he is speaking the truth

    37. 37

I think he's prolly one of the few ppl in hollywood that will actually admit to this type of insecurity. I'm not, you know, a psychiatric professional or anything, but it's blatantly obvious to me that almost all actors and actresses have this emotional insecurity, and the need to be validated as people through their "fame". Normal people don't make it in Hollywood for a reason.

    38. 38

the wrong town? it sounds like he chose the perfect career! that is exactly what actors are-people pleasers. people usually want to be famous in their early childhood and i believe it is then because that is before self-confidence and self-awareness truly forms. why else would you want to be an actor? if your kid wants to be an actor, let them audition for a school play. acting is just pleasing and if it is learned at a young age that one must behave a certain way to gain approval, it will be continued for the rest of that individual's life.
      what he said makes sense.

    39. 39

      I love this guy.

    40. 40

I kinda like him, I don't know why though.
… except for all the sexy stuff with his parents & naked mom stuff, that IS weird!

    41. 41

Still better than you in any and every way.

    42. 42

Although I like Shia, I have to disagree with some of these comments. Artists live independent from the validation of others. They live as artists who know who they are. They have a strong opinions and perspectives that they are able to articulate or express through their art form. You're credentials are your ability to be innovative and entertaining as illustrated in the films you make and the experience you have that allow you to grow from one project to the next, much like school, the way people go through higher grade levels. The contradiction of not knowing what you're doing and being motivated to being the best without know exactly what you're trying to be the best at horns upon a possibility that maybe you don't look at acting as a craft or as an art form as other do and therefore you do feel as you're doing nothing more than pretending. In which case you are acting, not behaving, a technique many great actors use in order to remain unaffected by the industry and to stay focused on their craft as an artist, a reflector of society, not a victim to what other people think. I'm not judging Shia on a personal level in any way and i think he's an amazing actor, but it's something i think maybe he should consider when evaluating his feelings towards his career and acting in general. just maybe.

    43. 43

      Wow, I think I just became a fan :)

Shia, you may have not have any credentials but you do have an insightful mind, good for you :)

    44. 44

Re: Samantha07 – stut up he's not going to die

    45. 45

Re: Samantha07 – shut up he's not going to die

    46. 46

      leave him alone :(

    47. 47

well he's probably right. an actors job is to play/pretend to be someone else. what is it they really DO? i get what he's saying that they're all miserable and screwed up. …i'm in the same boat, just not an actor or famous.
hey, at least you're getting paid bigtime.

    48. 48

this makes him so much hotter. as if anyone who runs this website would know anything about being an actor. i need to stop coming to this site, it just makes me angry– but i'm addicted.

    49. 49

How refreshing! Some one who thinks and has an interesting perspective. I like Shia, always thought he was a cutie and that his face had character. I'd take him over Zefron, the Jonas brothers, Justin Timberlake any day.

    50. 50

well actually, he's 100% right. I've represented actors for over twenty years and he's one of the first to see and admit it publicly. movie "stars" are the worst. they're overpaid, believe their own hype and usually aren't very good actors. plus, you can't really tell if they're talented or not anyway between the smoke, mirrors and editing.

    51. 51

Re: truthwillset you free – OH WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP!

    52. 52

No he is in the right town exactly….maybe he can start teaching the other self-agrandized assholes in Hollywood how to understand that they are not "magic"
that their job is not "important" he's hit the nail on the head….good for him.

    53. 53

How refreshing, I love this guy :) Get your money and get out while you still have a soul kid…

    54. 54

OMG! This guy needs to hire whatever PR person used to work for Tom Cruise (pre-couch-jumping) STAT! Seriously, he should not be allowed to give interviews or generally give any quotes. Everything he says is shit that people who want to remain famous and liked by the public should *never* say.

    55. 55

Why is everyone in the Transformer's movie a whiny bitch?

    56. 56

I sure hope Shia doesn't get all weird. He's a good actor and could have a great future in the business.

    57. 57

Well now, THAT was refreshing. I love the honesty and modesty. Please don't lose it, Shia. And please don't let it be fck-ing FAKE.

    58. 58

His description sounds exactly like every actor I've ever worked with. Don't knock honesty folks.

    59. 59

      Re: cripbabe111

      Love your post. So true.

    60. 60

Is he calling HIMSELF a good actor? lol. He's just an insecure kid who doesn't know much about life. Maybe he needs to go see someone. Jennifer Aniston has been seeing a therapist for over 20 years according to her, it's done her a world of good. lmao. Sheesh.

    61. 61

I smell a guy tryin to PLAY tha fans.

    62. 62

Shia, it's YOU who doesn't have any unique talent. Real actors do.

Now that you've had this epiphany, please stop starring in movies. Or at the very least, please try to stop playing the same character in every single one.

    63. 63

i totally agree. hollywood is one of the most screwed places in the world. nobody there should be making as much money as they do. i see such talented people in plays, on broadway or even in my university and yet people in hollywood movies have no talent…it's quite sad. i respect him for realizing this and saying it out loud.

    64. 64

      love him.

    65. 65

Re: shia labeouf fan – u r so right!!

    66. 66

Re: glenlantz – Fuck off you have no idea how the business works and never will for you to try to give advice is like a mouse getting an elephant pregnant . More ppl need to be honest about how they feel unless you want everyone to pull a britney! Dumb ass

    67. 67

LOVE LOVE LOVE SHIA LaBeouf. He's honest and adorable ! I can't imagine a better actor for the future, shut your trap perez, I have a feeling this kid is going to be the next great actor and your gonna be a pop culture memory! Stop being jealous, every time you can't get a hand job from someone, you have to bash them. shame shame

    68. 68

GOD HE IS SO RIGHT AND SO HOT

    69. 69

      i just fell in love.

    70. 70

      Finally, someone says it!

    71. 71

aw does he seem a little lost? mhmm maybe. but hes still beautiful

    72. 72

I love him. He's got a very compelling stage presence. And obviously, he's an introspective person…more to love.

    73. 73

I really like him. There's something sweet and shy about him, he's adorable and I just want to give him a smooch. And 'con game' is a good way of putting it. Acting is pretending to be someone you're not, I'm sure a lot of people don't enjoy doing it. The paychecks sure probably go a long way to making up for it though.

    74. 74

If he doesn't know what talent is, I suggest he rent a few Meryl Streep or Daniel Day Lewis movies. What a douche. Thanks for ruining Indiana Jones you little twit.

    75. MP says – reply to this

      75

He's completely right. And, yet, these people get paid millions of dollars for their "craft." Most of them have barely graduated high school. Higher education doesn't seem to be very valued in their community.

    76. 76

I kinda agree with the whole 'I'm in my 20's, WTF am I doing' interpretation. I still wonder why I picked the field I picked and even though I know where it will lead me, IDK if its where I wanna go and I think thats kinda what THe BEEF is saying in his article

    77. 77

Poor Baby! Good thing the reality stars are everywhere to put you out of work!

    78. 78

He just needs to find that magic poon, that's all, and I have it right here. Holler

    79. 79

Shia's absolutely right. And now my respect for him has gone up a bit.

    80. 80

he's 100% right. Glad to hear an honest interview. Luv this guy. Hope he stays grounded in reality w/ all those people kissing his ass and catering to his every need daily.

    81. 81

Iread this article! if he;s the future of Hollywood…we are all SCREWD for entertainment!

    82. 82

still love him as an actor

    83. 83

what he says about the talent part is kinds true.you see,how do we define talent these days?i know talent back then referred to ppl like michael j and whitney houston, but now, even people like miley cyrus, jonas brothers get labelled as'talented'!outgreatous!these kids are big,yet they dont even have the voice to be a singer, their acting is super exaggerated and they are too self concious about the way they look.they say they are role models, but many people or teenagers from small towns make way better role models than them, yet they dont get recognised.the same goes for people who are extremly talented and hardworking people, they dont get the $$$ and recognition.super unfair.i dont even know what true talent is anymore.

    84. 84

      Whatever.

Shia is awesome!!! And what's calling him LaDouche …
      Everyone AWESOME likes him. :]

    85. 85

oh my god, he is so sexy.
