Ugh, I don't like this new wave of 3D films. The picture looks junky, the glasses are uncomfortable and it's quite expensive. I did like "My Bloody Valentine 3D" for what it was, "Up" is an excellent film (even if the 3D sucked) , and "Harry Potter 5"'s final battle scene was glorious, but IMAX 3D is a different beast.
Can this thing blow over already?
"Avatar" will not change how 3D films are made; no film will change this. All this is is a gimmick to get people to stop pirating movies. It's not worth it and it's a distraction rather than an immersion
