Captain Jack Sparrow Will Definitely Sail Again!
Johnny Depp said he'd make another one, so they're making another one!
Producer Jerry Bruckheimer is finding himself very busy these days as he admits to be in the midst of working on the next installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. The word is that the film will be gracing screens as soon as 2012 and Bruckheimer admits he's seen some pages of the script and can guarantee a very Jack Sparrow-centric venture.
“Disney’s priority is to get Pirates made," he says. "That's a great franchise for them and for us too. Beloved, with a great character and Johnny's really excited about coming back to Captain Jack."
The push forward with the new Pirates film puts another Depp/Disney project on the back-burner. The Mouse has wrangled Johnny to play Tonto in an updated version of The Lone Ranger and the flick was slated to film first, but now that is no longer the case.
We're really excited for more Pirates, but the Lone Ranger? Really?

In Vanity Fair this month Johnny says they want him to play Tonto, but that he will only do it if Tonto can be the mastermind to The Lone Ranger's loveable dope. He says he always roots for the Indian in the cowboy movie, always.

I will watch any and every movie that Johnny Depp does. He is a great actor that has not gotten the recognition he deserves and he is so damn hot! He will still be hot in 20 years!

Its a bad sign when the franchise follows the box office take pattern the POTC film did.. i.e the third takes less (a lot less) than the second (or first). The matrix also did it, as did Spiderman and Shrek. It means they werent that good and the public lost interest. Few Trilogies manage improvement, Lord of the Rings was one of the few.
DONT make a forth POTC it will take less than the first i can guarantee it. The third was overblown trash, and no one cares any more.

wouldn't bother seeing the Lone Ranger, but Pirates…hellz ya! Love, love, love Johnny Depp as Captain Jack. He's hilarious. I have them on DVD and watch them all the time!
