The glimmer of hope known as TBS has fallen through.
20th Century Fox released this statement explaining the deal:
"Greg Garcia's brilliant My Name is Earl kept America laughing for the past four seasons and certainly deserved to continue for many more. While we had hoped to find a way to produce additional episodes for TBS, in the final analysis we simply could not make the economics work without seriously undermining the artistic integrity of the series. As none of us, Greg included, want the show to go out on anything but a high note, we regret that we must put to rest any speculation that Earl will continue. We are grateful to everyone at TBS for their enthusiasm for the series and wish to offer our heartfelt thanks to the cast and crew of My Name Is Earl for their incredible work."
Oh well. Tough break.
At least Jason Lee will have more time to spend with Pilot Inspektor!

Why do the good shows get canned? Honestly, NBC prefers to keep Parks and Recreations? I'm a big Amy Poehler fan, but this show sucks. Now everything is fucking reality or may i say scripted reality……

I loved this show. Yes it's stupid low brow comedy, but hell it kept me entertained for four years. We spend to much time watching tv anyways, and there really isn't much hope for tv land anymore . What with all these reality show pieces of shit and waste of time, and highly over rated shows like 30 Rock, Mad Men, ect.. It's time to move on. FUCK the "major" tv networks and FUCK HOLLYWOOD!!! These jackasses make too much money for little work. I guarantee their idea of 14-16 work a day is totally different than the steel mill workers, store clerks, nurses, and so on.

hmm, I hate when networks do this bullshit. You get into a show and they reap the benefits then they cancel it and we are supposed to be like, "ok cool". It is annoying because in most cases it is canceled after a big cliffhanger.
I also don't get why the good shows are being canceled but some bullshit copy of another show is the replacement. How many copies of Americas Next Top Model, Top Chef/Hells Kitchen, crime shows and law shows do we really need?
I LOOOVE Reaper & King of the Hill too and they are also canceled, it's like when there is a show with an original idea it gets canceled.
It kills me that they don't at least have an hour episode to end it all so the fans won't be pissed it was canceled…why become a fan of any show lol.

I really hated this show. I am so glad it ended. It was made especially worse by scientology ties. Jason Lee is just not funny or relate-able to me and I feel like it was cheap bag of tricks to make people think they related to us average Americans–BUT–it was really a big ripoff insult and con-job. Good riddance and I hope they put something better in that time slot!
