Lance Armstrong Biopic In The Works

Columbia Pictures is forging ahead too immortalize Lance Armstrong in an epic biofilm. The project has been slow-going, but a recent addition may just breathe new excitement into it. Writer of such great films as Seabiscuit, Gary Ross has been hired to pen the script.
As for who will portray the iconic bicyclist, the latest rumor is Matt Damon, though no official casting has begun on the pic.
If you're looking to get a Lance Armstrong fix before the big flick, you might want to check in with the Tour de France next month, as Lance has come out of retirement to try for his eighth win of the tournament.
Maybe it's just us, but we think it might be too soon to be thinking about an Armstrong epic. He's not that old and could do something super cool while the movie is being made. Then what?

I completely agree that his behavior in regards to relationships and women have been distasteful, at best…but to say that you wish his cancer comes back? That he's a loser because he looks like your ex-husband (You have man issues), and to say that even his own family doesn't like him (you know this, how?). Plus, can you prove that he doped? C'MON PEOPLE, he has done incredible work for cancer survivors, treatment, and raised millions of dollars for research. Does that not count for anything? Are you so shallow that you are more concerned with his personal life than what he does for cancer patients and survivors? That balances the scales a bit, don't you think? He's not perfect, but are you? Why don't you tell me what you have done lately to help millions of people, mailnly children - worldwide…yeah, I thought so. Check your facts and get them straight. Enough said.
I want to know who is being cast as his remaining nut.

we see your response and as much as i agree with you, susan b korman foundation has done just as much for cancer as livestrong and no one is talking about that. Just because you do good deeds and are charitable doesn't mean that we want to see a movie about his life. We like his accomplishments, we don't like his personal decisions, which is what the movie would be about considering it is a biopic, dumbass.

Re: TheRussianOne – At this point, I wasn't even referring to the movie anymore (despite the subject of the thread - clearly people aren't on that topic). It IS way too early for a movie and if they make one, they should be objective and delve into his terrible behavior as well. And a "BIOPIC" (Use a dictionary) IS a biography of his WHOLE life, not just his personal decisions (If they did it right) which would INCLUDE his cancer foundation. My point is; no one is perfect (No, not even you) and although his behavior shouldn't be excused, I don't think people should want him dead (His cancer should come back? Gimmie a break - Douchebag or not, tell that to the little cancer kid who gets support from his foundation). I'm not thrilled with his conduct at this point, but he was an inspiration to me years ago, and I can't just wish him dead. By the way, if you agree with me…doesn't that make you a dumbass as well…DUMBASS? Whoops!

I would never watch a movie about this total prick. He leaves his wife who is pregnant with twins to traipse around with famous women. He makes me sick and is ANYTHING but a good husband and father.
