Because they write their own music, and no one has to point that out to make them sound like better artists. Oh, and because some people have musical standards. We can't all be Britney Spears and Lady Gaga fans.

I love Dave! DMB concerts sell out! Saw him recently @ UVA to kick off his tour and they were AMAZING! He writes all his own music and puts on one hell of a show every time he performs which is more than I can say for a lot of others out there in this profession. Weird video….but you have realize, it's Dave. He does weird.

This isn't the site to promote DMB. People here don't get it. They like T-Pain, lady Gaga and Mika.

DMB is by far the most talented band out there. Regardless if you like them or not.

I don't even listen to new stuff, and I couldn't tell you any new artists besides the crap on here even if I tried. I prefer stuff like Siouxsie and the Banshees, Bauhaus, 45 Grave, The Birthday Massacre, the Cramps and tons of other 80's stuff and alt. rock.

My point was expressing disappointment they are still making music because I simply don't like their music. What is there not to get?

I have been going to see DMB for over ten years. Everytime I go, I am blown away. This album means so much for these guys. Pop junkies wouldn't know this, but they lost a founding member last summer. This album (which is sensational btw) was a tribute to LeRoi. Go see them once—YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THE MANIA.

I LOVE Dave! Saw them at Fenway Park in Boston this year- one of the best shows EVER! The haters just dont get it. Im sure all of the loyal Dave fans out there dont care either way whether you like them or not…just dont say stupid shit like "why are they still around"…. they are NOT done making music by a long shot.

I was a hater in high school in the late 90s, but the first time my friends dragged me to a DMB concert in 2001 I was hooked. You don't truly know a band's talent until you hear them live and let me just say they are uhMAzing!

Each band member plays their instrument so well. RIP LeRoi, one of the best saxophonists to ever live. Carter one of the best drummers, Rashawn THE BEST TRUMPET PLAYER!!! Stefan on the bass, and ELECTRIC VIOLINIST Boyd (I mean come on what band has this many instruments and is mainstream!) And of course what would it be without the songwriter and guitarist Dave not to mention Tim Reynolds who is absolutely insane on the lead guitar.

Anyways, there is no question this band is full of amazing artists and even people who don't like the music cannot disagree (unless they are stupid - and stupid people SUCK!) I'd highly recommend attending a DMB concert before you pass judgement. I mean Aerosmith, Rolling Stones, Allman Brothers… these are bands that have geriatric members and they STILL ROCK OUT! So don't hate on Dave Matthews Band.
