Lauren Conrad showed up to the launch of her ghost written book, L.A. Candy, at the Thompson Hotel in Beverly Hills on Wednesday.
L.C. aims to turn her book into a movie!
"It’s one of my hopes," says Conrad. "We're going to start working on that when I get back from my book tour."
Isn't it already a TV show called The Hills?!
She has such range!
But wait, there's more!
"I have my line at Kohl's but I'm also working on putting back together my original line. I want to change it up, working on a new name…," divulged L.C.
A new name doesn't magically change the clothes!!!

i don't understand why hate on lauren conrad. she is a celebraty that actually does somehting eventhough she has a reality show. she doesnt fame whore like most reality stars do and apear on a million reality shows.

The irony is that these "famous" people aren't famous for anything in particular. Her level of fame is completely disproportionate to her accomplishments. My theory is that this inequity creates an overinflated sense of self. In other words, she thinks shes the shit but she's just another "manufactured celebrity" like all of these Disney stars like the Jonas Brother and Hanna Montana.
The main difference between a real fashion person and LC is that LC didn't make her bones in the industry. It was handed to her. And it can just as easily be taken away. Same with the jonas brothers and all the others that didn't earn their way to the top.
Alternatively, Ryan Seacrest is a pandering turd but at least HE earned his way into the elite star status. (Poor Brian "I'm a" Dunkleman.)

being a current FIDM student myself, I HATE it when people connect the achievements of FIDM students or alums to Lauren and the Hills.
Nothing against Lauren but if you want to be taken seriously as a designer how about actually attending the classes that many people like me bust our asses in everyday.

It is way too expensive for what it is and she can't even afford to make the clothing either. I'm sure this book wasn't ghost written. I'm saying this because i'm sure the content of the book isn't going to be that difficult that even Lauren Conrad can't write it. On the Hills she seems like a pretty well spoken girl, but i'm sure that her talent as a writer ends at this book, where she is ultimately telling the exact story of what we have been watching on the Hills for years, but just creating new names for the characters! Ultimately, this wouldn't be a published book if she wasn't on the Hills, and the same goes for her plain, bland and overpriced clothing line, it's nothing special.
I wonder who'll do the storytelling next season in The Hills. Lauren has done it ever since the Hills began.
