Megan Fox: NOT A Vampire Slayer!

Into every generation a slayer is born. Or so says the opening line of the hit-cult classic Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
But this generation has already seen two different Buffys and now fans can gear up to see a third in the new feature length film.
The big question for fans is who will play the bubbly but butt-kicking blonde avenger of the night?
Rumors were pointing fingers to Transformers hottie Megan Fox, but as it turns out, such is not the case.
Buffy producer Roy Lee has put the kibosh on that one, informing fans that casting hasn't even begun yet.
"The rumors of Megan Fox being involved with Buffy are just rumors," he says. "As with any film project with a female lead under the age of 30, Megan is the actress that most studios want so it is no surprise her name is mentioned. While I think she would be great for our project, we are still in the early stages of developing the script."
Oh well. Too bad. We could have seen that working out well.
Megan would be a better Wonder Woman anyways!

This whole thing makes me want to scream and tear the hair out of whoever came up with this idea! The original Buffy movie was a dud, but the TV show is my favorite and the best show EVER. I really can't see anyone as Buffy other than Sarah Michelle Prinze. And the Megan Fox rumors are ridiculous- I love her, but if you're going to create a new Buffy movie (even if everyone is against it), Buffy has to at least be blonde!

The only person I want to play Buffy is Sarah Michelle Gellar and the only person I want writing and directing a Buffy movie is Joss Whedon…There is no Buffy without Sarah and Joss!!! I hope this thing never ends up happening!!

A Buffy movie without Joss Whedon doesn't exist for me. SMG is the only one to play Buffy should any movie be made.

So far she's not playing Wonder Woman, Lara Croft, and Buffy. I'm not sure she's creating career momentum. She's gonna have to pick something quick or she be doing Transformers 8. Maybe Zatanna would be the right comic based character for her? It's a second tier DC character that could easily have an Iron Man level of success as a movie.
Her and R-Pattz should do a movie together…. HOT HOT HOT

what's the point of a new Buffy movie if Joss Whedon, Buffy's creator, isn't even involved? the people doing this don't even have the rights to use any of the other characters, such as Willow & Spike. the main reason why the Buffy tv series was so good was due to the wit & intelligence of Whedon & his writing staff - none of whom will be having anything to do with this project.

I don't agree with a new Buffy movie. It'll be as bad, if not worse, than the original movie with Kristy Swanson. Joss Whedon and everyone he worked with on the script for the show made the show what it was. Without them, it'll be bad. True fans of the show know this. I love the show, I watch my DVD's occasionally and I still marvel at how awesome it was. Megan Fox is a very pretty girl, but she's hardly fit to play Buffy. To myself and many others, Sarah Michelle Gellar is the ONLY Buffy. This movie should not happen. It's like trying to remake the original Star Wars movies and casting Zac Effron as Luke Skywalker. It just doesn't work.

Well I used to make up a fake name and sign up under the name Wuffy (because my name is Whitney and I loved/always will love Buffy) haha. That said, no one can play Buffy except the one and only Sarah Michelle Gellar, she was the shit and anyone else will just ruin it. Joss Whedon needs to make it, SMG needs to star in it and the whole original cast needs to be in it for it to be called Buffy.

Re: Gilmore – I AGREE WHOLE HEARTEDLY!!!! No Joss/Sarah (BRING BACK James Marsters as SPIKE yum)! IT WON'T BE BUFFY WITHOUT THEM. It can be picked up from where it left off - Sarah's not that old. But she is pregnant; however, they aren't very far along in the process according to the director - I can't believe Joss would allow this. Must be "Studio" rights issues that Joss has no say over. NEVER seems fair. I would LOVE A REUNION OF ALL THE ACTORS ON THE TV SHOW…they could do it; one way or another. The fans wouldn't care (Like someone that died being in the movie - it could be a stand alone having nothing to do with the canon of the TV show.)
