I had a great idea on a related note for the good people at American Idol. As a new and exciting rule that will boost their numbers enormously. For people trying to get to Hollywood who only get 2 or 3 out of the 4 judges to approve them, the contestant can choose the "The Punch." Which is basically a hydraulic arm with a boxing glove (like in the JackAss movie) that smacks them in the face. "Pow! You're through to the next round."

I find the whole Lindsay Lohan circus so sad. She was once a beautiful talented young women with the world at her feet. She seemed happy and did all the things normal teenagers do.
