McLovin Gets Slapped On The Air By NY Anchor!

The star of Superbad was on New York's Fox 5 news to promote his latest flick with Jack Black, Year One.
But when reporter Rosanna Scotto mentioned if it was strange that Christopher's mom sat in while he filmed the sex scene for Superbad, he jokes "That's not normal? Mom's don't sit in on their kids having sex? Come on, you've seen your daughter having sex!"
Hah.
And that innocent joke caused the news anchor to smack his leg, prompting some nervous laughter in the background.
Just why is this reporter so defensive? Do we detect a promiscuous teenage daughter perhaps?

He was just poking fun; granted it wasn't a great joke, but this is making a mountain out of a molehill here. She didn't seem mad, he didn't seem all that awkward (no more than usual) and there's a lack of audience at these type of things anyway, so that laughter must've been from some smart-ass crew member.
Whatevs, just glad to see this guy's doing well and not just a walking punch-line.

I think it was all in good fun, but it did put him in his place. There was nothing wrong with that, and I think the anchor was a good sport.

With a movie like Super bad and the sense of humor that comes with it (very dry, strange humor) I would have been expecting remarks like that, to be honest. Lighten up a little, really.
She lost her cool and stopped interviewing and treated him like a child. Good points to him for not loosing his cool when she lost hers. Chica - you are a newscaster and not his mom. Don't be slapping someone else (cause that sounded like a stinging slap not a playful tap) because they say something you don't like. It's your job to ask the questions and play the straightman to their crazy artistic antics.

The stupid reporter STARTED the conversation, trying to belittle him, and then when McLovin' trumped her ass, she couldn't handle it. She was totally out of line in the first place, and even MORE out of line when she slapped him, and it WASN'T a "tap".
