    regarding if he would eclipse rob's popularity, nah i dont think so. first off, he looks like a boy. his fanbase would be limited to teens, tweens, someone in their 20s. and that's it. his basically jailbait. rob got the teens, tweens, college students, twimoms, grannies, gays… you get my point.
    plus rob is much more talented than him. he can play the guitar, piano, can write, and actually READS! deeper and more complex. funnier too.
    who knows though? if taylor could grab some spotlight, i think that would be rob's gain. the mania around him is ridiculous. it would be cool to watch how shark boy handles his soon to be fame. i doubt he could handle the scrutiny.

    Sure this kid is cute, I can understand why tweens are nuts over him, but as a fan of the books I have to point out that this casting choice, along with Nikki Reid as Rosalie (still having a 'what the fuck?' moment on that one..) is what stopped me from even seeing the film at all. He just doesn't look like the books description of the character and there's no getting around it. Personally, I always pictured Jacob as a younger Adam Beach. Is it really that hard to find a good looking actor who is actually Native American? I think not.
