That's so rediculous… I'm Canadian, straight & incredibly proud of the fact our country allows people who are homosexual to be married. & From what I know of, we're still doing alright lol.

Everyone should be equal! I hope I live to see the day that everyone is treated equally, but I doubt that. As long as there's guys like this around (plus that girl, who I assume had no objections to what he was saying), there will never be fair equality. And that's a really, really sad thing.

Preface: I don't think America will fall when gays get rights. However, history (despite the copy/paste jobs from Wiki) shows this to be true. Countries left in ruins (i.e. no more, not changed, but truly left in RUINS - get what he's saying right if you are going to attack it correctly) embraced and welcomed homosexuality in the streets, once could argue the begin of the downfall of Rome was due to Caligula - one of the most flamboyant rulers of the country, forget Tiberius was boinking his grandchild. He DID NOT say that homosexuality RUINED the country itself, he said countries that have, have all faltered and failed. The Ottoman Empire embraced it including little boys and young teens dancing in the streets for entertainment - gone. If we want to get religious - Sodom and Gomorrah. Let's be completely realistic; many countries and empires have ended up in ruins. I'm sure in that 'garbage heap' there may have been one or two that accepted or embraced homosexuality. Also, many of these empires/countries lasted thousands of years and disintegrated for many, many reasons. Not many societies accepted homosexuality and those that did truly may have disappeared. However, one could easily argue that those societies were well before there time and as many of us know those that are before their time tend to burn out quickly. Regardless of those who resist the homosexual equal rights movement will win. Progression always does. If we follow the bible completely we could easily bring back slavery as the bible condones it in many, many places? Do we agree with slavery today? No, we don't. We can't pick and choose which parts of the bible we want to follow. God gave me a brain as well as intelligence. I don't plan to insult him by not using it and not questioning everything that comes across me.

incorrect. Study YOUR history. Rome did not fall because of Christianity solely. The fall of Rome was gradual and actually started when Commodus became emperor after his father, Marcus Aurelius, who was the last of the five good emperors. Rome had already declining about 100 years before Constantine had become emperor. The weak leadership of Rome, the economy and the barbarized army had a large contribution to the fall of Rome more than Christianity did. So you can not blame Christianity alone.
Also, don't go around calling other people fools if they don't know the full history of Rome. I'm sure not everyone does…
