Sean Penn's Midlife Crisis?
Sean Penn is taking a break from Hollywood, and Hollywood ain't happy about it.
Sean announced to the teams of his two upcoming movies that he would be taking some time off and would not be acting in any projects, pulling out of BOTH films!
One said project is the highly anticipated and talked about film The Three Stooges, also starring Jim Carey and Benicio del Toro.
Penn came to the producers and explained he would no longer be available as he was taking time to focus on his family, which we don't quite understand as he already dodged a bullet last month and is still married to Robin Wright Penn. There is no word yet on how long this "break" will last, which has the Farrelly brothers, Peter and Bobby, in a serious predicament.
The directors have spent many years trying to get this film off the ground and they were slated to begin production at the end of August. But now the question becomes whether or not to wait for Penn to return (if he even does) or hire a new actor to take his place?
We'll just have to wait and see what happens, but it is somewhat baffling that Sean chose now to leave the limelight. Midlife crisis perhaps? Or is Robin making him stay home?

Okay they are acting like it's a big deal he's taking off ONE year at the most. Big deal! Stars like Daniel Day Lewis and Jodie Foster take like 3 years between films sometimes! It's not a big deal if he wants to take a year off to spend with his family. It's better when actors space out their films instead of doing them back to back. Especially if you have kids who need to be in school.

WTF? I get Jim Carey being cast in this film, but del Toro and Penn!!! Benicio is one hot mo-fu and and amazing actor, but funny think not. Don't get me started on Penn, he has no sense of humor at all. He left his back in the 80's with the film that made him a star!!! But is this going to be another bio-flick type film, or just a moderation of sorts?
