she's not even that great. actually, she's horrible.
I thought she did a pretty good job on "Crossroads," but her vocals on this performance were weak and strained, and she was WAY off key. I think she's usually a pretty good role model, but the awkward pole-dancing next to Joe Elliott just seemed dirty and wrong. She's young and naive, and he's going to be 50 soon, and I don't think she has any idea what was probably going through his head at that moment.

The sound is not the best quality… I saw them do this on CMT crossroads and it sounded much much better than what they are here.
The performance was not horriffic but her singing and the mix was REALLY AWFUL. Why was she always too quiet, too loud, or off key? Ugh. Overall? FAIL.

Don't get me wrong, I like Taylor Swift's songs, but not live. She can't really sing and her voice is edited on her cds. This was incredibly painful to listen to and watch. I sat horrified as my roommates and I watched this. And for those of you saying the sound quality was bad- everyone else last night sounded good. This show is live and that is why Taylor sounded awful. And the song sounded good on Crossroads because they were able to go in and edit her voice. I am embarrassed for her.

Awesome! To all of the haters, no, she doesn't have the strongest voice, but she writes all of her own music, is super sweet, is a great role model, and is beautiful without seeming fake. Everyone who says "wow, these genres don't go together", that's the point… it's a repeat of their CMT Crossroads performance where CMT combines county stars with their favorite bands from other genres.
Oh dear, I think that Taylor Swift is a lovely girl, but that right there was just unfortunate. Maybe the sound technicians are partially to blame? The vocals were really weak and nasty sounding.

First off…how is it that this is ok - Taylor Swift dancing around suggestively singing Pour Some Sugar On Me to an older middle aged former rock star….but David Letterman making the comment about Palin's daughter is wrong? People please. This is a sad performance. It wasn't good. In fact I hated it. And the suggestiveness of her performance is disturbing.

i know shes a good singer but this was really bad, sounded lke bad kareoke. The song was too low for her or something and her "dancing"/flailiing around was bad too. All she did was hair flips, very very bad.
