Wino's Parents Beg Her To Stop Drinking!!!!!!

Amy Winehouse's parents, Mitch and Janis Wino, claim that their daughter has given up the drugs but cannot shake her addiction to alcohol!!!
It's always something with her!!!
"I need my daughter to be a whole person again. I've tried it all," says her father. "I said: 'Amy you've got to do this, you've got to go to this doctor, you've got to do this, you've got to do that, you're killing me, you're killing your mum.'
Unfortunately, none of it worked as Amy is still boozing it up in St. Lucia!!!
"The need to rescue her is enormous. I just want her to be OK and I would do whatever it took to make that right," says her mom.
Well, why aren't you going to get her?!
"Amy is in denial all the time. She probably feels trapped, her body is trapping her. But I know with addiction you do not have the choice because the substance itself directs you," she continued.
We understand that everyone has setbacks but Wino has been on this bender for quite some time!

I think Amy needs to get out of public life to save herself. She is a good-hearted person and she's not cut out for this kind of fame.

I hope she manages to turn it around eventually, because she is such an amazing talent and performer when she's got it together. Lately she's really been a lost cause, though. It's frustrating to seem someone destroying themselves, and also seemingly destroying their career and not giving a shit.

I've heard of this drug called Dmt. Its an awsome tool that some rehab clinic's use to help people get over their addictions. She should seriously consider doing it. It would change her life.
As sad and hard it is - if you want to help an addicted kid like Amy you have to step back for your own sanity and let her realize only she herself can help (surely with a therapy and not on her own) - you have to risk, the kid will die because the addiction is too strong.
But I for sure understand the aching for helping ones child. Every therapeut will tell you this.
A family member pleading with an alki to stop drinking. Has that ever worked? Doubt it.

well alcohol is better than crack 1 thing at a time i say i should know i was on meth for 6 yrs then picked up alcohol instead and so far i have 6 yrs off meth. i will take meth o0ver that other stuff any day!! leave her be

All she did was switch one addiction to another and it's obvious her parents have no clue and have done no research into it to help her. They should never have been so supportive and happy when as her dad put it in one interview 'all she does is drink now, I'm relieved'. As a recovering opiate addict myself, I did the exact same thing and it's text-book common. A drug addict will never be able to control their substance abusing ways….have to learn to live clean and abstain from everything that numbs their perceived pain.
amy is suffering from an illness which only a spiritual experience will conquer. she is beautiful and talented and it is so sad to see her throw the gifts that God gave her away
I agree with xandria. People with addictive personalities just change from one addiction to another. She needs to find something wholesome to get addicted to, like exercise. Hell, even bowling would be better.

I really wish that she could pull herself together. She has a great voice and I really love her album. It's sad that she can't see what she's doing to herself, her family and her career. I truly do hope that she'll get better and soon.

This is getting old… its sad. Amy Winehouse was one of the biggest music discoveries in the last ten years, and now she has blown it. I still hope she gets the help she needs, but I think her music career is over.
she should take up texting,,,,,that would give her something to do with her right hand, cost more money, and she wouldn't be even getting a buzz-on.

When and where is the intervention? She can afford rehab, but maybe for not too much longer?? The best centers cost (in US) $30,000 to $60,000 a month, and even then the relapse rate is questionable. You gotta wanta. Too much time has passed for hope that she will "recover" by herself. She has been in St. Lucia for most of the year with a studio on-site and waiting. Her Back To Black album soared two years ago and was recorded three years ago. Her career is in the toilet, brain is fried, and looks are going. What more is it going to take? She has great talent, but has become "yesterday's news" due to her own inability to think rationally. She is on a path to self-destruction unless someone has the guts to step up. I don't have the resources but I hope someone does. What on earth are her parents thinking? Are we all having too much bloody fun mocking the afflicted? The 27-club isn't that far off. Somebody step up!!
