The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has announced the 2010 honorees and there a few bound to vanish into obscurity!!!!
Below are the honorees for all categories:
Film: Russell Crowe, Adam Sandler, James Cameron, John Cusack, Colin Firth, Alan Menken, Randy Newman, Emma Thompson and Mark Wahlberg and producer Gale Anne Hurd.
TV: Bill Maher, Chris Berman, Jon Cryer, Peter Graves, Jimmy Kimmel, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Sam Waterston.
Recording artists: Ringo Starr, Bryan Adams, the Funk Brothers, Alan Jackson, Chaka Khan, Van Morrison, Marco Antonio Solis, ZZ Top and the late Roy Orbison.
Live Performance: Andrea Bocelli, Cirque du Soleil's Guy Liberte

You may not recognize his name but you have definitely heard his music. He's the composer for many Broadway musicals and Disney movies including The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas, Aladdin, Hercules and many more. The song "Under the Sea"? That was him. "A Whole New World"? Also him. Menken's won more than a handful of Academy Awards and Tonys.
Marco Antonio Solis is a legend in the Spanish/Latino music industry. Good to know the Walk of Fame is embracing diversity.
Why didn't Ringo already have a star???? I recognize almost all the film, most of the recording artists, but nwither live performance and only two of the TV ones. Why is Jon Cryer getting a star anyway? WTF has he done aside from Two and a Half Men?

When they gave one to Donald Trump, that is when I looked at it in a different light. There will always be more deserving people that should have had a star, but never will. It takes money. I think Jon Cryer is deserving, he has been around for many, many years, on stage, film and television. The least deserving I see are Adam Sandler and Mark Wahlberg.
